If you’ve seen my work before, you probably know how much I adore nature as a backdrop for engagement sessions and wedding portraits. I was so excited to hear that Christina and Erich wanted to visit Central Park in NYC for their engagement session because this incredible place is a little slice of nature heaven (with the added bonus of some elegant architecture) planted right in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city! These two love to walk around the city and Central Park as a quiet end to their date nights, so it was really fun to visit this meaningful and iconic NYC landmark for such special photographs.
Christina and Erich met on a dating site, and Erich was Christina’s first and only date! They knew right away that they had something really special. They love to spend their date nights having dinner in quiet, cozy spots in the city with good food, wine and some ice cream after! So perfect! 🙂
Erich caught Christina totally off guard when he proposed, and she loved that it came as such a surprise. He had planned a trip to Maine for the two of them, but the night before they left, he surprised her with the big question in their NYC apartment. He didn’t want her to think something might happen in Maine and have her ruin the surprise, so they were able to celebrate that night and continue the festivities when they left for vacation the next day! Talk about an amazing way to start off the next chapter in their adventure together. 🙂
Thank you Christina and Erich for such a fun time exploring Central Park! I can’t wait for your wedding day at Ryland Inn next year! 🙂
