Maria and Colin’s intimate barn wedding at the Inn at Glencairn was seriously one for the books! Everything about this couple and their day was just so special.
Maria and Colin met serendipitously as Maria, a Barcelona native, visited her friend in Boston where she sublet a room in her friend’s house. Colin found himself working in Boston that summer, and he was subletting a room in the same house! Maria says, “We met in the kitchen, and spent our two weeks there together, while our stays overlapped, getting to know each other and beginning our relationship!” The sweetest beginning to their story for an even sweeter couple!
This intimate barn wedding was nothing short of a diy-ers dream! Maria and Colin vowed their love to each other surrounded by just eight of their closest family members on a magical Thursday evening. Located in Princeton, New Jersey, the Inn at Glencairn was the perfect location (seriously, every inch of this place has beautiful spots to shoot!) for a day full of love between this couple! Although we faced some crazy rain storms, everyone managed to stay dry and smiling throughout the day!
Maria & Colin’s love for each other poured out in every moment of the day; from their tear-filled first look that overshadowed the rainstorm to their vows that had the entire room reaching for tissues. Before the ceremony, Colin grabbed his vows and asked Maria if she had hers. She didn’t have them on hand, so Colin told her that he would leave his written vows behind too, and they will both say them off the top of their head. It was the sweetest little gesture that just showed how thoughtful and considerate these two are toward each other.
Maria’s dress was a Flamenco-inspired style from Spain and her lace veil was vintage from the 1920s. Her fan was handmade by a relative, which just added to the sentimental value! The florals, tulle decor, gorgeous arbor and string lights all added to the magical night. I am so thankful to have been a part of Maria and Colin’s special day; it was a dream to shoot in such a rustic, charming locations and to be surrounded by so much love!
