Maria and Rob celebrated their wedding day at Camden County Boathouse is Pennsauken, NJ, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day! I loved all of the details that made Maria and Rob’s wedding day uniquely them. One of my favorites is that Maria wore her mother’s pearl earrings and her grandmother’s pearl necklace. Including little pieces of family legacy in the wedding day is something really close to my heart.
From start to finish, Maria & Rob’s wedding day was filled with so much joy! Maria was a stunning bride with a beaming smile, crinkled nose and all, that lit up the entire room in the most contagious way. And watching Rob look at his new wife with so much adoration, was the sweetest. All of the friends and family celebrating alongside them, so clearly shared in the excitement of the start of Maria & Rob’s next chapter.
Maria & Rob have such a great story. When I asked Maria, she told me:
Rob and I met two years ago, as we were both out one night with friends in Cherry Hill. He came over to talk to me as I was getting a drink and we bonded over both being in the education field, both being Polish, and knowing many mutual people in the South Jersey area…I think we have talked every day since that night! We have a ton of things in common and our date nights range from a fancy dinner and a movie to ripping up old carpets and painting rooms of our house! He proposed to me on July 25th, which is “Christmas in July” and also his mom’s birthday. I was up super early and in the kitchen baking muffins as part of her birthday gift! I didn’t even know he was awake yet, and when i turned around from my mixing bowls, he was down on one knee…I was completely caught off guard and in shock haha! He knew we were going to see his family that night to celebrate and we also did a surprise visit to my parents’ house to share the news. 🙂
And speaking of good stories, the way that I got connected with Maria is kind of a funny story. Back in December, I had surgery on my foot. During my many doctor’s appointments leading up to the surgery I met Grace, Maria’s sister, who worked at my doctor’s office. It came up in conversation that I was a wedding photographer (hence scheduling the surgery in my off-season). Grace told me that her sister was actually getting married in the summer, and was looking for a wedding photographer, so I gave her one of my business cards. A few weeks later, when I met Maria and Rob for coffee, I instantly connected with these two. It’s been so fun getting to know them and celebrate this excited season with them!
