I met Lisa last year when she reached out to me to photograph her parents’ 35-year-anniversary vow renewal. 🙂 From the first time we met, I adored Lisa! And I knew that we both shared a love of preserving life’s stories and memories through photography. 🙂 I also remember thinking how adorable Lisa and her husband, Al, were together, so I was SO excited when she reached out to share the news that they are expecting their first baby. As much as I adore engagement sessions and wedding days, I never want my couples to forget about the milestones that come after, like anniversaries and sweet little babies! I knew this maternity session would be one for the books, and I couldn’t wait to start planning! 🙂
I was so excited when Lisa told me they decided they wanted to take photos at the incredibly beautiful Cedar Lakes Estate – the same place that Lisa & Al got married in September 2016, which made it extra special. I loved revisiting this sentimental location where they experienced one big milestone in their story, and now they’re celebrating another one. I am so excited for these two and this next adventure!
Lisa and Al first met through mutual friends down the shore in Belmar, NJ in the Summer of 2013. They ended up staying in the same summer house where they both knew each other’s friends, but they had never met until that summer! From the time I got to spend with Lisa and Al, it was easy to see how kind & caring they are towards one another, and how they’re best friends and partners through everything. Lisa & Al love traveling and exploring new places together, spending time outdoors, trying new restaurants, having date nights in, and sipping on good wine together! I’m right there with you, friends! 🙂 After nearly five years of doing life & love together Lisa & Al are starting their next chapter of their story. In Lisa’s words, “I love how sweet, caring, and devoted Al is as a person and also as a husband and partner in life to me. He has made my life so much better since he has been in it and I am very excited to start this new chapter as parents together. I couldn’t imagine going through it with anyone but him.”
Seriously these two are the sweetest together. And I just know that they are going to be amazing parents to their son. You have to read what they said about what they are most excited for in regards to being parents:
“We can’t wait to meet our little boy! We wonder what he will be like, look like, everything about him, we are curious. We can’t wait to shower him with so much love. We love him so much already, so I just know when he is here, he is going to be one truly loved little babe. We can’t wait to teach him how to be kind, sweet and show him the world. We love to travel, so we know our little one will love to, as well!”
