Oh mahhhh goodness, friends. Sit back and ENJOY, because we’ve got another unreal wedding day at Indian Trail Club hitting the blog right now! When your morning starts with stunning details AND the cutest golden retriever coming in for snuggles, you know it’s going to be a perfect day! Rooney showed off his modeling skills quite a few times from the ceremony to bridal party portraits, and I just love when my couples include their furbabies on one of the most important days of their lives! Steph’s style is so unique and she did such an amazing job putting everything together from the lush greenery and ferns in her florals to her handiwork creating the dresser plant holder behind the sweetheart table (ahhh-mazing)! Her unique jewelry was such a perfect accent to her glam bridal style. If you can’t tell how obsessed I am, I’m just going to keep on gushing over all the amazing parts of their day, especially how Steph got her bridesmaids the absolute CUTEST pjs from Madewell (seriously, I need to order a pair right now)!
Their super talented florist created the ceremony ring backdrop (that would later make a second appearance on the reception chandelier) and gorgeous bouquet and, of course, flowers for Rooney. 🙂 Steph and Brendan’s vision for the decor was on point – they found vintage-style rugs for their ceremony aisle and the cutest outdoor lounge set up with a working chandelier hanging in the tree! It was such an awesome spot for us to play with for portraits, and it doubled as a place for their guests to hang out and take adorable photos in all night! We took some of my favorite night portraits to date right there!
As a big surprise to Brendan, Steph had a groom cake shaped like an Amazon box come out after they cut their cake, since he works for Amazon, and he LOVED it! These two know each other so well and were full of sweet surprises throughout the day. Brendan got Steph a stunning sapphire necklace that she just adored, and their vows were real tear-jerkers and full of so much love! Pretty sure every single guest was crying after they were done! Another awesome perk was working with ToneMedia, the best video team ever!! Check out the highlight video from their wedding here!
Stephanie & Brendan met on their 8th grade trip to Washington D.C. and started dating 11 years ago when they were just 15 years old! Their proposal story is just the cutest! Brendan convinced Steph to join him on a trip to Lake George for a “boat certification course” he had planned. He told her they could do whatever they wanted before and after the course, so they adventured on a hike together! He managed to get her to go on a hike he had secretly already scouted out. Steph says, “After such a long drive the moderately rated trail was harder than expected. Once we reached the top of the hike, there was a beautiful lookout point. Bren spent some time trying to coax me to a certain spot – I was SO tired and rejected him a few times before agreeing to taking a selfie with our pup. I knelt down to take a selfie and when I stood up after he remained on his knee with the ring & Rooney. He said a bunch of nice things with a shaky voice and I of course I said yes! As we descended down from the hike he told me both of our families were on their way to the lake to celebrate with dinner and drinks. We stayed over at the sagamore (dog friendly!!!) and had an amazing night and brunch the next day! I’m mostly surprised by just how surprised I was. I’m unbelievably thankful that Brendan chose such a beautiful place and had our families so involved in the celebration.” You can read more about them and see their engagement session here!
Steph and Brendan, you two are hysterical and such a joy to spend time with. I am so thankful to now call you both friends and to have been able to celebrate this exciting time alongside you two! Your attention to detail and fun spirits made your day so incredibly perfect! I can’t wait to see where life takes you two (and Rooney, of course!) – I know plenty of new adventures are ahead! Congratulations, newlyweds! Xoxo Love you two!!!
