You know when you meet those kind of people who become your instant BFFs? From my first FaceTime date with Lauren, I immediately knew she and Nick were my people. I love these two so incredibly much, and feel so blessed that they were brought into my life not only as not just clients, but also friends. Hands down, my favorite part of being a wedding photographer is the people – like these two – that I get to connect with! 🙂
Lauren & Nick tied the knot at Scotland Run in Williamstown, NJ, and their wedding day was every kind of springtime garden-y magical goodness. I am so obsessed with these two, their wedding day, and all these images!! I loved getting to work with the super talented Jennifer Designs Events again! Her floral creations were (as usual) out of this world beautiful! I mean just look at Lauren’s bouquet! Does it get any dreamier than that lush beauty?!
Lauren & Nick’s wedding day was the perfect celebration of these two and their love! Their cards and gifts they exchanged the morning of their wedding we so sweet and thoughtful! Lauren got Nick Eagles’ tickets – which you can tell how much that meant to Nick just looking at his expression when opening the gift! And Nick set up a record player in a closet in their home, and when Lauren followed the instructions in his love letter to turn it on, the record played John Mayer’s “Gravity” – their first dance song! He followed that up with a book he made of reasons he loves Lauren! How sweet is that!!? I can’t even handle these two.
We had SO much portrait time on their wedding day, I was in photographer HEAVEN! These two were up for everything, including running barefoot through a field, all the lifts, and slow dance twirls! 🙂 Bride and groom portraits are one of my favorite parts of a wedding day! Especially when we have plenty of time to take tons!
The night ended in the most perfect way possible – with a wall of donuts, sparklers, and of course, Shout! If you know me, you know Shout is my jam! It literally makes my day when I get to dance to Shout! It always means the world to me when my couples make it happen! Naturally, I had to tear up the dance floor with Lauren when it came on! 😉
Now that you’ve heard about their perfect wedding day, let me tell you a little more about Lauren & Nick and their love story! These two met back in high school, but they didn’t start dating until Lauren was going into her senior year of high school, and Nick was in his sophomore year of college. At the time, Nick was living in Manayunk, PA while attending Chestnut Hill College. Lauren would secretly drive her car over the bridge into PA and sneak over to Nick’s house all the time hehe. Lauren says, “Manayunk will always have a special place in our hearts (especially now that we’ve finally spilled the beans to our parents about the sneaking… only took 7 years!)”
Their proposal story is one for the books! As Lauren tells it, “So our favorite band is Circa Survive. They are an alternative rock band from Doylestown, PA. We have seen them play 9 times to date haha. Like Manayunk, Circa was an integral part of our beginnings. The music always brings us back to the sweet days of our beginning young love and fearless adventures. SO ANYWAY, nick had purchased VIP meet&greet tickets for me, him, and my brother to go to back on my bday in November 2016. It was our first time actually MEETING our idols and they had a private acoustic session for like 100 of us before the main show. They winded up doing this question and answer thing and nick grabbed the mic and goes “Alright, I friggin LOVE you guys but this questions isn’t for YOU!” And then he told me to stand and got on one knee and asked me to marry him! LOL. It was insane and a dream and totally us. It’s still unreal to me that our favorite band in the entire world that means everything to us gave us MARRIAGE advice and talked to us and joked with us. Ugh, so surreal!!! <3″ How incredible is that!?!
When I asked these two what they love about each other, Lauren said, “I love Nick’s patience and understanding. He is so gentle and sweet. He takes care of me and is able to love me unconditionally despite my battles with anxiety and any other health issue. He calms me and nurtures me and challenges me to do better.” And Nick said, “I love Lauren’s determination and hard work, I’ve seen her take on multiple responsibilities and manage them effortlessly. I love how affectionate she is and able to express her honest feelings (both positive and negative). I love how much she pushes me to reach my potential, make changes, and never give up.”

Lauren and Nick, thank you so much for having me be a part of this special season of your lives! I love you two so much, and am so beyond grateful for you! I couldn’t be more excited for all the adventures ahead for you guys! Cheers to the start of this next chapter! I hope it’s filled with endless joy, laughter, and adventure! (And of course infinite puppy kisses from Kodiak!) 🙂 Sending you guys the biggest hug and all my love! xoxo
