I love when I get to shoot an engagement session somewhere new to me! Even though I live pretty close to Jersey City, it’s rare that I find myself there. Jess and Eric took me exploring all over their favorite parts of Jersey City and showed me some amazing spots including an up close and personal skyline view, a rooftop overlooking the city, and the cutest little ice cream shop! I had so much fun hanging out with these two and photographing their engagement session!
Jess and Eric first met while working for the New York Rangers, and were best friends for years before they started dating. (And, fun fact, their old co-worker who sat between them when they both worked at the Rangers will be officiating their wedding ceremony!!) Eric proposed to Jess in Napa, California during a magical weekend trip to a winery. Eric proposed with Jess’s grandmother’s anniversary ring. And during their engagement session I got to photograph her ring with her grandmother’s beautiful wedding photo! Family heirlooms with an incredible legacy like that are my favorite. 🙂
To top off this awesome session, I got to photograph their cat! Being the animal lover that I am, I obviously jumped at the opportunity to meet Jess and Eric’s adorable cat, Noggin, and take a photo of their sweet little family together. Thank you Jess and Eric for a wonderful evening! I can’t wait to photograph your wedding next May!! 🙂
