Their Engagement Session: Cross Estate Gardens NJ
Cross Estate Gardens, NJ is one of my favorite session locations! I was so pumped when Michelle and James decided to take their engagement photos here! We had so much fun during their session, smiling and laughing the whole way through. I have a ton of favorite photos to share! But first a little back story about Michelle & James, and their love!
Their Love Story
When Michelle described what she loves about James, she perfectly summed up their love. She said, “James is always there for me no matter where I am. He will drop everything in a heartbeat just to make sure that I am ok. He always makes me feel safe and most importantly we make each other laugh.” These two are meant for each other!
They first met back when Michelle was around 15 or 16 years old. She told me “We used to hangout at the mall with our friends every Friday. Yup, we were “mall rats”. I remember I was with one of my best friends, Kate. We were standing outside, then this goofy kid came up to us and started making jokes. I remember thinking that James was a little weird and I had never seen him there before. After that day he was at the mall every Friday night so he became friends with a lot of the people I knew…we didn’t become good friends, but we knew of each other and talked once in a while.”
“Years later when I was in college, out of the blue, James messages me on Facebook and I hadn’t seen or spoken to him since I was 16 years old! (Apparently he had a crush on me all of those years in between) we started talking and he decided to come drive to Philly and visit me at school. I didn’t think he was serious at first but that weekend sure enough he was there and the rest is history.”
