Their Wedding Day: Windows on the Water at Frogbridge Wedding
Brit & Ryan’s Windows on the Water at Frogbridge wedding was a DREAM day!!! It’s always an honor to be trusted by another wedding photographer to capture their day. Brit is a talented photographer and photography teacher – so it meant the world to me to get to be a part of Brit & Ryan’s wedding day! These two are so laid back and fun-loving. Their wedding day was a perfect joyful celebration of their marriage! I loved all the fun details and creative elements like the surfboard seating chart, and vintage VW bus photobooth! (Metro Photobooth Bus is the best!!)
I also loved that they each included a jenga block in their getting ready details as an inside nod to something that represents a happy, joyful moment for them. Their wedding party was a BLAST and had me in tears laughing so hard throughout the day. It was a wedding day I’ll always remember! I wish I could live it one more time, but that’s what the photos are for right?! Before we dive into my MANY favorites, let’s talk about Brit & Ryan’s love story!
Their Love Story
Brit and Ryan’s first date was January 3rd, 2020. They went to get Mexican food at 10th Ave Burrito in Belmar. As Brit tells it, “Ryan had just gone back to Baltimore after Christmas for New Years and drove all the way back up to Jersey just to go on a date with me! I was shocked and we stayed until 10th Ave asked us to leave haha. We started out going back and forth to each others places. At the time I was living in Bradley Beach, NJ.”
“It wasn’t until a week before everything shut down due to Covid, that things took a turn. Ryan was home for a family event and he wasn’t feeling well. He was having neck and head issues and we still don’t know exactly what caused it (nothing crazy – most likely just tight muscles). Anyways, we decided it would be best for him to go back to Baltimore and pack up anything he could think of and stay with me. This way it was closer to family and we could be together.”
The Proposal
Ready to hear how Ryan popped the question? Brit told me, “Since I teach Photography, it only makes sense to have my own Photography business. My friend Jordyn and I had planned to do a photo session swap. She was going to photograph Ryan, our dog Finn, and myself and then the plan is to photograph her & her bf. However, Ryan had other plans!”
“He reached out to Jordyn and asked if she would document him proposing! We were on the beach and Finn was being a total pain, so here I am on the ground trying to bribe him with treats and fix the blue bandana on him when Ryan says, “Hey I have a better bandana to put on him.” and he walks over with a white bandana that says “Will You Marry My Dad?” He also had my parents and his parents there for the big surprise!” How sweet is that!? A perfect proposal! 🙂

Brit and Ryan, where do I even begin!? You two radiate pure joy. Your smiles are contagious! It is such a joy to watch the two of you laugh together and love each other.
