Carly & Ken’s Park Savoy Fall wedding was such a joyful, beautiful day! I loved getting to celebrate these two and see all the love and excitement surrounding them as they kicked off married life! Back when Carly & Ken first reached out they described the vision for their day. They told me, “We are going for a very timeless feel. We want to look back on our wedding day 20 years from now and feel as though the style is still classic. Some adjectives would be: elegant, classy, timeless, chic, & formal. Our colors are emerald green, gold, black, and white. We love that the Park Savoy isn’t the typical wedding venue and has a unique charm.”
I’d say their vision and MORE came together perfectly!! I loved this day and every little curated detail. The amazing signage, and color palette tied everything together throughout. I loved that Carly & Ken had such a focus on making their wedding day a fun experience for their guests. With little touches like fun fact napkins, an audio guestbook, and rescue flats for the ladies at the reception – they really went above and beyond to make their wedding an experience! I love that so much. I also loved the beautiful ways Carly honored her late father, especially having his favorite dessert – black and white cookies – as favors for their guests. It was so sweet & thoughtful. I can’t wait to share all my favorite pics from this wedding! But first, just a little snippet of their love story.
When I asked Carly about how she and Kenny met, she told me, “We are high school sweethearts and we have been “together” for eight and a half years! We were a part of the same friend group in high school and got to spend extra time together in the library during our freshman year. We both had major surgeries, so had to write gym reports in the library instead of attending gym class. Eventually we started dating the summer going into our senior year (4th of July to be exact). And we have been together ever since! Kenny went on to Rowan University and I went to Saint Joseph’s University, yet it was effortless to continue to grow together. After graduation we both worked in the Philadelphia area and eventually Kenny moved into the Manayunk townhouse I shared with my twin brother, Jimmy!”
Carly & Ken, thank you so much for having me as a part of your wedding day! I absolutely love you guys and I am beyond grateful for you. I’m so honored to have been able to capture so many special memories for you two. I loved every minute of your big day, and can’t wait to see all the incredible things in store for your future. Sending the biggest hug & all my love! xoxo
