Their Wedding: Mallard Island Yacht Club Wedding
Nicole & Andrew’s Mallard Island Yacht Club wedding was INCREDIBLE! What a dream wedding day! We had the most beautiful day with a perfect pastel sunset! Every little detail of the day was so thoughtfully planned out. Everything came together flawlessly! The reception was so much FUN! The dance floor was full all night long! This was one of those days where we just HAD to stay and dance for a few songs at the end. 🙂 I can’t wait to share all my many favorite photos from the day, but first…their love story!
Their Love Story
When I asked Nicole & Andrew to share with me one thing they love about each other, I loved their answers. Nicole said, “I love that he’s someone that I can depend on for anything, He’s my best friend and number one supporter. I also love when he laughs uncontrollably because it’s the freaking cutest!” Andrew said, “I love that she has a positive outlook on everything and I love the fact I never have to ask her twice to do something fun :)”
How They Met
You’ve got to hear the story of how these two met! Nicole told me, “We met at the Asbury Ale House. I was a bartender and he was the drunk customer (kidding, sort of). We became quick friends and were both in serious relationships at the time. Ironically, we both ended our relationships around the same time so we were able to connect and be there for each other during that (still just as friends haha). Shortly after, he was persistent on going out on a date. I said no. Over and over again. Finally, I made up the excuse I couldn’t date him because he didn’t have a dog. So, the next day – he asked me to come to the shelter and he adopted a dog. 3 weeks later, I rescued a puppy. And the rest was history – 2 dogs and almost 4 years later we’re getting married!”
Our Proposal
Andrew’s proposal was such a good one – I love this story! Nicole gave me the inside scoop, “This was by far the best day of my life!!! I wish I could relive it over and over again. It was the most beautiful Saturday in November (21st) and we went to our friends house in the morning to hangout and have some coffee. When we got there he had a brand new 2021 Harley Davidson wrapped up for me! He literally stood there and said surprise! He knew I ALWAYS wanted a Harley and so did he. That afternoon, I thought we were grabbing lunch with my best friend and her boyfriend but my friend was “running late.”
“Andrew asked if I wanted to take the dogs to the beach because it was so nice out so of course I said yes. As we were walking on the beach I was taking pictures of him and the pups and he told me to hold them and smile. As I went to turn towards him and smile he was down on one knee – I blacked out. I don’t even know what he said. I was just so happy and surprised. A few moments later I looked up and noticed our friend who was a photographer hiding across the beach capturing the moment. After that, we went to my moms where all of my closest friends and family were there throwing us the best party!!!”
