Lisa and Allan’s wedding day was all sorts of incredible from the beautiful brick interior of Houston Hall to the royal blue bridesmaids’ dresses that had heads turning in the streets of NYC. Lisa hoped for a laid back Manhattan wedding to create a fun and relaxed night for their friends and family coming from in and out of town. This beer hall was originally an FBI garage until it was converted to this rustic, unique venue. Their soft lace and pastel florals added an elegant touch to compliment the venue. Lisa & Allan value “good food, good drinks, good music and good people!” What more could you ask for on your big day?!
After connecting through a dating app, Lisa and Allan both knew from the very first date that they were just perfect for each other. They’ve been inseparable ever since! They love home-cooked meals, Netflix and snuggling up on the couch. Their proposal story is so fitting for everything I have learned about them since we met; here’s what Lisa said,
“He actually proposed at home. After a night including a casual dinner and the theater, we were talking about the impending wedding season and what our wedding would be like someday. He asked me in passing if I would marry him and I was kind of just like that’s not how this works! You can’t just ask me when I’m in pajamas in bed in passing with no ring or anything. He then asked me if I wanted a ring and I said yes, thinking he would pull out a ring pop or a donut. He told me to close my eyes and not to peek. For about 30 seconds, I pulled the covers over my head and said to him you can’t just take one of my rings from the jewelry box, that doesn’t count. When he told me to open my eyes, he was down on one knee with the ring. He didn’t actually ask me to marry him again after getting the ring out because he was also shocked that it was actually happening.”
I just adore how kind-hearted, warm, and genuine Lisa and Allan are; they value their love and life together beyond anything, and it truly showed through in every part of their wedding day. I am so grateful to have been a part of this season in their lives, and to have gained two new friends in the process! 🙂 Congrats Lisa and Allan!!! Cheers to the start of this journey of marriage!
