Their Session: Belmar Beach & Marina Engagement
Colleen & Justin’s Belmar Beach & Marina engagement session was so much fun! I loved spending such a beautiful evening with these two capturing a little bit of their love. I especially was so excited that they included their fur baby, Sadie, in their session! It always makes me so happy to meet my couples’ dogs!! They also had custom embroidered sweat suits for their second outfit! The sweatsuits were such a unique and fun element that brought so much personality to their session! I can’t wait to share so many favorite photos! But first…their love story!
Their Love Story
I asked Colleen & Justin to share with me one thing they love about each other. Colleen said she loves that “He is extremely patient and supportive of my career and goals.” Justin said he loves that “Colleen is extremely giving and compassionate.”
Colleen & Justin first met when they used to work together. Colleen told me, “I was the bosses niece and Justin got hired to run a department. Our cubicles backed up to each other. I was only there though for a few months before I went on to get my Master’s in Physician Assistant. When I was in PA school I would use the office on weekends and nights to study. Justin would come in and work all weekend and be my own personal DoorDash or UberEats guy supplying me with endless Starbucks, snacks and a good distraction when I was stressed to the max.”
Justin proposed to Colleen in the sweetest way. I got the inside scoop from Colleen, and she told me, “This past Christmas was supposed to be our first Christmas in our new home. Unfortunately Justin had to stay at his dad’s house with his brother so I decided to stay with my parents as well. On December 22 we decided to go out for a nice dinner and do our own private “Christmas”. We went to Tabor Tavern and then when we got home I went to get changed into sweat pants and when I came out to our living room Justin proposed with flowers and a sign on our frame TV asking me to marry him.” How sweet is that?! I love an intimate proposal!
