Their Session: Summer Family Maternity Session at Loantaka Brook Reservation
We met at Loantaka Brook reservation for Jill & Pete’s summer family maternity session! I love this location for photos, with all the lush greenery and gorgeous lake making for a perfect photo backdrop. And it was especially great for little Landon to enjoy exploring some nature!
I’ve had the absolute honor of photographing Jill & Pete several times over the last few years. From engagement photos, to their wedding, even Jill’s brother’s wedding, and now I got to photograph their sweet family in this season of growing from three to four! I am so excited for them and their new baby girl!! I already know that Landon is going to be the best big brother to his little sister!

Their Love Story
Jill and Pete first met when Jill was his patient at the physical therapy clinic where he was working as a student intern. She told me, “When I first walked into the clinic for the first time I was immediately drawn to his smile and and his laugh. It was contagious. He remained professional throughout my time there but I totally knew that he liked me! What typically should have been a 30 minute appointment easily turned into a 2 hour appointment because we loved talking to one another. We bonded over the fact that I was about to go back to school for Physical Therapy and would soon be in his shoes as a student intern.”
“On his last day of his internship he said, “ I could probably get kicked out of school for this but can I get your number? I would love to take you out some time.” And I definitely turned bright red but was thrilled that he asked and gave him my number. He waited one full week to text me and that week felt like the longest week of my life. Our first date was a week later at a BYOB sushi place in Ridgewood.”
They tied the knot at a private family residence in Mendham, NJ in 2021. It was the most beautiful barn and property, and it was absolutely perfect for their wedding day! They’re still some of my favorite photos of all time! Check out their wedding blog post here!
