Their Session | Asbury Park Beach Maternity Session
Amy & Sam’s Asbury Park Beach maternity session was a very special one. I’ve had the honor of photographing these two several times, including for their wedding day and it’s always such a joy and a highlight to be around them! I’m so excited for them to be starting this next beautiful chapter in their love story and growing their family! It was especially sweet to celebrate this season by taking maternity photos at the beach!
Sometimes it can be a challenge to find a spot to include your furbaby in a beach session over the summer, but the Asbury Park Dog Beach ended up being the perfect solution! It was a beautiful beach and their sweet pup (soon-to-be big brother!), Opie, got to be a part of their session! I always love when my clients include their dogs in their sessions – they are family, too!
I’m so excited to share some of my favorites from their maternity session, but first, a little bit of their love story!
Their Love Story
Amy & Sam have that soulmate kind of love. And it all started when they connected on Hinge! Sam told me, “There were multiple times that I thought Amy wasn’t going to reply to me on Hinge so I was just really excited that we got to a first date lol” Sam invited Amy out to rooftop drinks, and as Amy tells it, “We met at a restaurant that didn’t have the promised rooftop, so after a few drinks, I brought him to one down the street with a great view of the Empire State Building (or as Sam called it, “the Eiffel Tower”). Six hours and many drinks later, we left the rooftop and agreed to spend the fourth of July together for date #2!”
These two tied the knot at Florentine Gardens a couple years ago. And now they’re about to start their next chapter: becoming parents!! I asked what they were most excited about when it comes to being parents. Amy told me, “Sam says “roughhousing” lol. I’m honestly most excited to see Sam become a Dad. He’s so loving and caring and fun. I just know his golden retriever energy will help us have the happiest child we could imagine.”
And when asked to share one thing they love about each other, Amy said, “I love his steadfast partnership. We’re embarking on this new journey together and he’s been a steady comfort the whole way.” Sam said, ” I love that Amy’s caring and thoughtful, always checking in and making sure I’m okay when I’ve had a rough day.”
To the Soon-to-be Parents
Amy & Sam, I am over the moon excited for you two to experience the wonderful journey of parenthood. I can’t think of two more loving people who would make the best mom & dad! Congratulations, you guys! I’m looking forward to meeting your little one! Sending all my love! xoxo
