Ariel & Scott’s wedding day at the Coach House at Ryland Inn, was simply perfect! From the dreamy color palette of rich deep green and warm peachy tones, to the way they included their Corgi pup, Mango throughout the day – this day made my heart so happy! I love when my couples make thier wedding day truly their own, and the ways that Ariel & Scott did so really spoke to who they are. A family tradition including a table of cookies and mints as favors (and the cookies of course were shaped like Mango!!!). One of my favorite moments was Ariel and Scott’s first dance as husband and wife. Watching the two of them laugh and soak in the moment together on the dance floor was so sweet! Before we dive into some of my MANY favorite photos from their Ryland Inn wedding day, let’s first talk about their love story!
When she first reached out to me, Ariel told me all about how she and Scott first met! She said, “Scott and I have been dating for 11 years now. We met through mutual friends during the first few months of college at Bucknell. We lived in the same freshman dorm and had a class together. My friends and I met a bunch of his teammates from Bucknell baseball during orientation and we ended up crossing paths often. I reluctantly agreed to be ~exclusive~ in a dorm stairwell on November 5th, 2009, and the rest is history!”
Now wait til you hear this proposal story! It’s such a cute story and I love that Scott was so thoughtful in planning everything! Ariel tells it best, “Scott proposed in October 2018 at one of my favorite places in the world, Riamede Farm in Chester, NJ. I was born and raised in Mendham and have been apple picking at Riamede for as long as I can remember. So, I thought it might happen at Riamede, but he really threw me off hard once we got there.”
“I later learned he was trying to get in touch with the photographer he had hired. Once he found her and met back up with me, she apparently wasn’t very discreet about taking pictures. He was so nervous I’d notice her that instead of leading me back towards the privacy of the orchard, he decided to propose right there in the pre-picked mini pumpkin patch with the ring box upside down. He’s not exactly “smooth” but I’d rather have a life of laughter anyway.”
Ariel & Scott, thank you so much for having me be a part of your wedding day! It was absolutely perfect in every way! I loved celebrating your marriage with you two, and capturing so many sweet memories on this day! (Including Mango absolutely crushing it as the ring bearer/flower girl! ;)) Enjoy this blissful season of finally being husband and wife! I’m so excited for you two and all that lies ahead in this next chapter! Sending you both all my love! xoxo
