If I haven’t said it enough – I LOVE when my couples bring me somewhere for their engagement session that has a significant meaning to them. Meagan and Joe did not disappoint! For their session, we got to explore Philly, which is where Meagan goes to grad school, so these two have been trying out different bars and restaurants since she began school there! We started off our shoot at a gorgeous bar called Tredici Enoteca, and then walked through the beautiful side streets around the city, and of course Rittenhouse Square. Philadelphia was such a perfect location for this classic, joyful couple who knows how to have a blast no matter what! After getting snowed out by two different Nor’easters, we finally got some beautiful warm spring weather for their session – third time’s the charm! 😉 As we explored the city, we soaked in the sunshine and obsessed over all the adorable pups that we walked past!
Meagan and Joe first met at their corporate holiday party when they worked at the same company on different teams. They hit it off quickly, and about a year or so later, they moved in together! They did not hesitate to adopt two adorable cats, as they are both huge animal lovers. They want to adopt a dog one day, too! After Meagan started grad school in Philly a few years ago, she moved to this new city, but they still get to spend most weekends together, and have been enjoying all that Philadelphia has to offer for date nights!
If you want a proposal story that will give you chills, here you go! Meagan explained, “At the end of August, Joe and I took a short vacation to Italy. We were planning to relax and spend most of our time in Cinque Terre. After a lovely day on the beach we took a stroll, wine in hand, to a beautiful overlook where you could see all of the 5 villages of Cinque Terre. I went over to the balcony to take some photos, and when I turned back around, he was on his knee. We had an amazing dinner overlooking the water to celebrate afterwards, and I was absolutely on cloud nine the whole evening. It was absolutely perfect! We had the rest of the vacation to enjoy our engagement before heading back home, and we definitely took advantage of every second.”
Meagan & Joe love a good cocktail bar, so most of their date nights start there and move to one of the maaany restaurants in Philly! They keep a mental check list of all the restaurants they’re hoping to visit before Meagan graduates, but they happily frequent their favorites! So naturally it was perfect that we started their session at a bar ;). These two are SO much fun, and gave me such a great insider scoop tour of this city.
