Their Session: Fall Cross Estate Gardens Engagement

Jordan & Dickie’s fall Cross Estate Gardens engagement session was one of those picture perfect days. We had the most beautiful fall weather, colorful foliage on the trees, and beautiful golden autumn light. I had so much fun photographing these two and love how their photos came out! I am so excited to share so many favorites from their engagement session! But first, I have to share a little bit of Jordan & Dickie’s love story!

Their Love Story

I asked Jordan & Dickie to share one thing they love about each other. Jordan said, “I love how motivated and driven he is while also maintaining a calm and easy going presence.” And Dickie said, “I love how she brings me back down to earth when I need it. She’s very supportive and always there for me.”

How They Met

Jordan & Dickie grew up in same NJ town, but met in Nashville!! Jordan told me, “I was traveling for work to a client in Knoxville, TN. I traveled a lot with my dad so he suggested at the end of my work trip he would fly and meet me in Nashville to see it together. I was supposed to take a bus that I ended up missing (although I was sitting at the bus station) and ended up taking a 4 hour Uber with a complete stranger (interesting to say the least).”

“Finally, I got there and had breakfast the next morning at Biscuit Love with my dad. While we’re there he said he knew people that he’s close with from a local bar that are also in town if we would like to meet them for a drink. I said absolutely, we had no plans. When we arrived at the Bar we saw my dad’s friends (who happen to be my fiancé’s Aunt and Uncle), along with Dickie, his sister and his mom. Both me and my dad did not know that these two groups of people were related, so it was a surprise to us. We all spent the weekend together going to bars & out to dinner. Dickie took my phone number and the rest is history.”

The Proposal

Dickie proposed to Jordan at a private boat club this past July. Jordan told me it happened “on the dock with about 30 people of our family and friends. This is right next to the dock where he has both of his boats. He had a marry me sign and candles leading up to it was beautiful.” How sweet is that? I love that Dickie involved their family and friends in the celebration!

Jordan & Dickie

Jordan & Dickie, thank you for being so much fun! I’m so excited to celebrate your wedding day at Crossed Keys Estate next year! Until then, enjoy soaking in all the fun of being fiances!! xoxo
