I was so honored when John reached out to me about photographing his proposal to Lizzie! Lizzie is a fellow photographer, who I’ve been instagram friends with, and have mutual friends with, but hadn’t gotten a chance to meet in real life yet! Anytime I get to photograph another photographer it’s so special and exciting! John planned to propose at the waterfront in Hoboken on Pier 12 during golden hour (since John knew this was good lighting time). It was a perfect location near to where they live, with gorgeous skyline views! John popped the question and then we took some photos of just the two of them! As we circled back, Lizzie & John were greeted by a bunch of their friends and family waiting for them, champagne in hand! It was perfect. 🙂
I asked John to share his and Lizzie’s love story with me, and if you ask me, these two are just meant to be! John said, “We weaved in and out of each other’s lives for years. The first time we met was in 2012 at a college party. Fast forward to 2016. Lizzie is already living in Hoboken and I moved here. We’re both single, going out together because our friends are friends. Then we become friends. In February 2017, on a Friday night…I decide to test my luck and kiss Lizzie at the Hoboken Ale House (pure class). Like the old saying goes, we found love in a hopeless place. Our first date ended up being on VALENTINE’S DAY. I asked Lizzie to dinner (not realizing it was Valentine’s Day) and took her to see the LEGO Batman movie. And we’ve been inseparable ever since.” 🙂 Such a good story! These two have managed to always find their way back to each other…and now they’re getting MARRIED!!!! YAY!
Congratulations Lizzie & John!!!! I’m so excited for you two, and so honored to have been able to capture this sweet moment of getting engaged! Soak in every minute of this season and enjoy your time being fiances! Cheers to forever!!! xoxo
