Nicole and Andrew’s Holmdel Park engagement session was so much fun! I loved how much thought they put into the props they included to make their session so them. From the gorgeous floral bouquet by Desiree Dean, the Polaroids, to the Harley that played a big role in their engagement…it was perfect! I am so pumped to share all the pics from this session, but first a little back story on their love!
When I asked Nicole and Andrew to share one thing they love about each other, they gave the sweetest answers! Nicole said, “I love that he’s someone that I can depend on for anything, He’s my best friend and number one supporter. I also love when he laughs uncontrollably because it’s the freaking cutest!” Andrew said, “I love that she has a positive outlook on everything and I love the fact I never have to ask her twice to do something fun :)”
Nicole & Andrew first met at the Asbury Ale House. She was a bartender and Andrew was a customer enjoying some drinks. Nicole said, “We became quick friends and were both in serious relationships at the time. Ironically, we both ended our relationships around the same time so we were able to connect and be there for each other during that (still just as friends haha). Shortly after, he was persisted on going out on a date. I said no. Over and over again. Finally, I made up the excuse I couldn’t date him because he didn’t have a dog. So, the next day – he asked me to come to the shelter and he adopted a dog. 3 weeks later, I rescued a puppy. And the rest was history – 2 dogs and almost 4 years later we’re getting married!”
Okay, now for the story of the Harley…this proposal story is SO SWEET. Nicole tells it best, “This was by far the best day of my life!!! I wish I could relive it over and over again. It was the most beautiful Saturday in November (21st) and we went to our friend’s house in the morning to hangout and have some coffee. When we got there he had a brand new 2021 Harley Davidson wrapped up for me! He literally stood there and said surprise! He knew I ALWAYS wanted a Harley and so did he.”
“That afternoon, I thought we were grabbing lunch with my best friend and her boyfriend but my friend was “running late.” Andrew asked if I wanted to take the dogs to the beach because it was so nice out so of course I said yes. As we were walking on the beach I was taking pictures of him and the pups and he told me to hold them and smile. As I went to turn towards him and smile he was down on one knee – I blacked out. I don’t even know what he said. I was just so happy and surprised. A few moments later I looked up and noticed our friend who was a photographer hiding across the beach capturing the moment. After that, we went to my moms where all of my closest friends and family were there throwing us the best party!!!”
Nicole & Andrew, thank you so much for having me be a part of this special season! You two are such a joy, and I’m so excited to capture all these special memories for you! I can’t wait for your wedding day next year at Mallard Island Yacht Club.
