It always means the world to me when couples keep coming back to me to take their photos again, and tell another part of their story. I was lucky enough to be able to take Stephanie and Jesse’s engagement photos a couple years ago (if you want to check out their Wharton State Forest engagement session, you can see the blog post here)! So naturally I was over the moon when Stephanie reached out to share the news that she and Jesse were expecting a sweet baby boy, and wanted to take maternity photos!!! It was so much fun to see these two again, and capture this incredibly exciting season of their lives. During their session we talked about all the fun that lies ahead and what characteristics they hoped their son, Kayden, would have. And of course I got to see their gorgeous, light-filled nursery! (It seriously doesn’t get any more perfect than this light and airy dream of a nursery, for an in-home photo session!!) These two have such a kind, genuine nature and a love that is so inspiring! Kayden is one lucky boy to have Stephanie & Jesse as his mom and dad. : )
Let me tell you a little more about their story! Stephanie & Jesse met through mutual friends at church. Jesse noticed Stephanie before she knew of him, and immediately knew that one day she would be his wife. : ) Jesse reached out to Stephanie via Instagram, and her witty humor sealed the deal. They dated long distance for over a year until Jesse moved to New Jersey. Stephanie & Jesse are both pastors in Camden, and as Stephanie puts it, “if we’re not at work…we’re at church. That’s our thing.”
When I asked Stephanie what they’re most excited about in regards to being parents, this is what she said, “So far, every season has brought out so much in us that we have been unaware of. Good and bad but it all has brought us closer. We’re just excited to love this boy and show him how to love others while growing in the process.”
Stephanie and Jesse, thank you so much for having me capture these sweet memories and tell your story! You two are such wonderful people, there is not a doubt in my mind that you’re going to be the BEST parents to Kayden! I’m so excited for you guys and can’t wait to see all that this new chapter brings, becoming a family of three! Love you guys!! xoxo
