I had SO much fun exploring the Hamilton Grounds for Sculpture with Julia and Scott for their engagement photos! Since I grew up in South Jersey, I’m always excited for an opportunity to visit! 🙂 When Julia suggested Grounds for Sculpture I couldn’t wait for the day of their session! The park is so beautiful and really has some incredible scenic spots to shoot in (like this Monet Bridge above!!!). It was really fun to play around with all the different backdrops Grounds for Sculpture has to offer. We lucked out with the most perfect weather, AND it was Julia’s BIRTHDAY!! I am so honored Julia chose to spend part of her birthday doing engagement photos and that I got to share in the celebration! We had such a great evening chatting, exploring, and taking tons of photos!
Julia and Scott are such a joyful, fun-loving couple to work with! I loved spending time with them, and capturing their contagious smiles and energy! Julia and Scott have known each other since elementary school, and first met through Julia’s best friend – who happens to be Scott’s sister!! Scott proposed to Julia on Christmas Eve, on what Julia describes as, “the most memorable, most amazing night of my life.”
“Both his family and mine gather together for Christmas, so this is always a special, fun time for our families. Every Christmas Eve we exchange presents. He had been joking with me that all I was getting for Christmas this year were fuzzy socks. When I opened his present to me, which had been sitting wrapped, under his parents Christmas tree for 2 weeks (2 weeks!!!), I opened to see three of the cutest pairs of fuzzy socks I’ve ever seen. Underneath the socks was a little box. He removed the box, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him in front of both our families, all hysterically crying in the background. I, naturally became hysterical also, but I found myself becoming flooded with so much love from within and everyone else.”
