Their Wedding Day: Knickerbocker Country Club Wedding
Cydney & Farid’s Knickerbocker Country Club wedding was an incredibly memorable day! It was an amazing day celebrating two amazing people we are lucky enough to call our friends. Ryan grew up with Farid, and I met him in college, and he’s always been a light and a big supporter for us and our relationship. When Farid introduced us to Cydney, it couldn’t have been more clear that he’d met his perfect match! What a joy to get to photograph their wedding day!
Right before first look, the skies literally opened up with a downpour like we’d never seen on a wedding day! It was wild, but came in and out quickly leaving us with beautiful overcast skies for our portrait time! I loved all the unique touches, cultural elements, and FUN vibes throughout the day! Cydney’s colorful shoes, Farid’s green suit, the BUBBLES incorporated throughout ceremony and reception were all just so much fun! I loved every minute. I have so many favorite photos to share, but first a little bit of their love story!
Their Love Story
Cydney & Farid met at Cydney’s friend’s graduation party. She told me, “Farid was there for work. It was September 2020 and one of the first few real outings since lockdown for me. He was there with Arian to DJ the party and I was just attending as a guest. We met at the end of the night when he came up to me and introduced himself.” The rest, as they say, is history!
You’ve got to hear how Farid proposed! I love this story. Cydney gave me the inside scoop. She said, “he had helped a friend of ours by being a participant in one of her photo shoots. They reached out to me later that week because she “didn’t get all the photo she needed.” She asked us to do some more photos as a couple that Friday and I was off of work so I agreed. She even got me hair and makeup to really sell that it was a professional photo shoot. We did two looks for the photo shoot and shot all the first look photos over about 30-40 minutes. Then, after I changed into my second look, she asked Farid to do a photo with him on the ground. And that’s when he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!”
