If you’re looking for two adorable humans, look no further! Meg & Joe’s engagement session at Madison Train Station and Loantaka Brook Reservation was a winter engagement session dream. These two are simply wonderful and so, so caring! Since they live in Madison, this location was close to home for them, and it was really fun getting to explore this area they call home! I feel like all my couples are honestly just the best. They are so willing to troop it out in the cold weather for some amazing pictures; I’d say it’s totally worth it ;)! I loved the pretty pink ring box that Meg brought for her ring, as a special touch! These two made the cold look GOOD. With their stylish coats and boots, and Meg’s cute mittens & blanket scarf , their winter style is perfection!
Meg and Joe met through Meg’s childhood friend, who is also Joe’s cousin! They had actually met each other a few times through the years, but the very first time they met was at her best friend’s birthday party in 3rd grade! She said, “I don’t think we said a word to each other or even noticed each other at all, but there is photographic evidence! We then saw each other again at different parties and get togethers, and after we graduated from college, we would hang out with a big group of friends. It was after this that we started dating. Now, we have been together for about 3 years.” How amazing to have photos together from when they were kids!
Meg always knew that she wanted just a sweet, quiet moment for her proposal. Joe totally perfected the special moment. On the Saturday that he proposed, Meg had suggested that they go for a walk. Joe quickly agreed, and they ended up walking all over town. Later, Joe suggested that they go out to lunch. Again, they walked through the neighborhood, and to a few parks. They even stopped for ice cream! Little did she know, Joe had the ring in his pocket the entire day! At home that night, Joe had a little smirk on his face, and next thing she knew, he was down on one knee! She said, “ I was so surprised and we were both so happy. The moment was so full of love and it was exactly what I had always hoped for: an ordinary moment turned extraordinary.” Okay.. tell me I’m not the only one with chills! How sweet are these two?! <3
Meg and Joe love to spend date nights relaxing on the couch, enjoying a glass of wine, and just talking with each other. Meg said that one of her favorite things about Joe and their relationship is the way that they can be honest with each other and always trust each other. They love having great conversations that make them both feel supported and connected. Sounds like a perfect date night to me. 🙂
