In early June, we had the most special celebration in anticipation of our little lady Olivia’s, arrival! We decided on a backyard shower, because we really wanted to be able to celebrate at our home – somewhere that means so much to us! It was a wildflower themed party and we had so much fun bringing this vision to life! Friends and family from every corner of the country traveled in to join us, and make this day the perfect “debut” party for our baby girl!
My dear friend Angela of Belfiore Bridal & From Rings to Renos (who also was my wedding planner) jumped right in to help bring all of the ideas floating around my head to life in the most magical way! From sourcing the perfect flowery pennants and colorful linens, to making the most stunning floral arrangements, and building the perfect wallpapered photo back drop…she and her amazing husband Bobby are truly just an all-star, incredible duo that made it all happen! Angela & Bobby – we love you guys so much! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you did to make this day happen.
I don’t even have the words to express the amount of gratitude I feel thinking about this day. There was so much preparation and we truly had all hands on deck. My besties Tori & Thiana spent days with me crafting all sorts of decor, in particular these statement piece GIANT crepe paper poppy flowers! We made NINE of them lol, and it was no small feat. But it truly made the the theme! I’m so blessed to have friends who will without hesitation jump on board to help bring these ideas to life.
The saying “it takes a village” just continues to ring in my head, because this incredibly baby shower truly took a village to make happen. We had family members making food and drinks and helping to set up/break down everything before and after the event. My next door neighbor spent an evening making chocolate covered pretzels with me (and lending us fridge space during the event haha). Our friend Danielle from BBB Co. Creations designed the most perfect custom labels for our seed packet favors for us. And Tori also made sure to document everything and take these beautiful photos for us!
It’s incredible to see the efforts everyone poured into this event to shower us, and baby girl with so much love. It means the world to us and we’re truly so grateful! We have the best, most loving community to support us. Baby Olivia is already so loved – THANK YOU everyone!! I can’t wait to share some of my favorite photos from this day below!
