Their Session: Philadelphia Engagement Session
Ali & Ryan’s Philadelphia engagement session was one that meant the world to me! Ryan is my childhood best friend’s younger brother. (Aka, basically a younger brother to me.) Ryan’s family is like my second family, and it means so much to me to get to photograph something so special for people who are so special to me. Ali and Ryan are so in love with each other, and the joy they share in being together is simply contagious. I had the best time capturing all their playful laughter, radiant smiles, and loving glances. They are the sweetest couple, and I have SO many favorites from their session in Philly! We explored the beautiful merchant exchange building, gardens downtown, and the pier near the iconic bridge. It was perefct! Before we dive into all the photos, I’ll share a little bit of their love story.
Their Love Story
Ali & Ryan first connected online, and when they had their first date Ali remembers, “he was standing on the corner of the sidewalk and I pulled into the parking lot and drove over the curb right in front of him. :)” They hit it off and have been inseparable ever since. Ryan proposed to Ali on a family trip to Florida, and it’s the cutest story. As Ali tells it, “Ryan and his family invited me on a family trip to Disney with them and he told me they wanted to go to a garden to get family photos taken while we were there (this was a big stressor because Ryan did NOT want to have to do family photos). When we arrived at the garden for the “family photos”, he surprised me and proposed! Little had I known he planned the family photos as a distraction, and both of our families were there to celebrate!” When I asked Ali what she is loving most about being engaged she said, “Looking forward to the future and planning :), and staring at my ring!!”

Ali & Ryan, I love you guys!! It was such an honor to be the one to take your engagement photos and I can’t wait to do it again for your wedding day at the Estate at Eagle Lake this September.
