With a proposal story as amazing as theirs, Alex and Eric’s wedding day was bound to be unreal. I’ll tell you about the proposal in just a second, but let’s talk about this incredible couple’s wedding day! They said their “I dos” at the Riverhouse at Rumson Country Club where they had a beautiful open-air ceremony and reception surrounded by their nearest and dearest. The floral arrangements created by Katydid were so elegant and beautiful, and I am actually OBSESSED with the whimsical branch decorated with lights and greenery that hung above the sweetheart table! Alex’s dress was SO unique and simply breathtaking, and the flowers in her hair were the perfect touch! My favorite part of bridal portraits was when all of the ladies whipped out their embroidered denim jackets that Alex gifted to them. The jackets were so fun paired with their formal dresses! I love the sentimental borrowed pieces that Alex wore, from the tennis bracelets from her mom and future mother-in-law to her stud diamond earrings borrowed from her aunt! They celebrated by listening to the sweetest toasts, eating delicious food (they had mini cheesecakes in mason jars for dessert!), and dancing the night away to Silver Arrow Band’s phenomenal live music.
These two met in college at the University of South Carolina where she said she liked his shoes and he asked her to play beer pong! Eric moved to NYC after college and Alex joined him a year later; they’ve lived there ever since and love the big city, but also snuggling up at home with their sweet, crazy little pup named Jax! They love to go out to restaurants near where they live, drink wine on the roof (lucky!!), or just watch TV together with the pup. Okay okay, I promised a good proposal story! Here’s what Alex said: “The proposal was one of the best days of my life, hands down. I was SO surprised, it’s a miracle everyone kept it a secret so well haha. We were in Rumson for the weekend in February. We went to get a couples massage and then ate brunch at The Turning Point in Pier Village. He purposely parked a little far from the restaurant. After brunch, he said let’s walk along the pier by the beach back to the car (I still didn’t realize what was going on haha). It had just snowed so it was beautiful with the snow and ocean in the background. He got down on one knee and proposed. I was so shocked and so so incredibly happy and excited. Our friend who is a photographer was hiding and took pictures of the whole thing without me knowing! The best part was when we got back to his parent’s house all of our friends are family were there, we had a big surprise engagement party that lasted all night with the people we love!” So amazing; great planning, Eric!! 😉
I had the most amazing time celebrating Alex and Eric’s love and being able to share in this next big adventure in their lives. Congratulations Alex & Eric! Thank you both for being so much fun from the first time we spoke. I adore your guys and wish you all the happiness in the world!!
