Their Wedding Day
Love is not cancelled. Lauren & Blain’s wedding plans changed and pivoted due to COVID, but the one thing that hasn’t changed is their love and commitment to each other. In so many ways, through all the curve balls this year has sent our way, there are also so many silver linings! I loved that Lauren & Blain ended up tying the knot at Skylands Manor! We actually took their engagement photos at the botanical gardens here too!
Their intimate wedding ceremony was absolutely beautiful. And their tented backyard reception was perfect down to every last detail. And don’t even get me started on Lauren’s dress change!! Pure perfection through and through. : ) Before we dive into all the gorgeous pics, I want to share more about Lauren & Blain’s story!
Their Love Story
Lauren & Blain went on their first date back in 2015. They met up in Ridgewood, NJ and went for drinks and dinner at The Office. They connected right away, and had such great conversation on that date that they totally lost track of time. Lauren said, “We walked up and down the same street at least 10 times just chatting. We even went to Starbucks just to sit and continue talking.” Their favorite date nights consist of either going to brewery and drinking craft beer or staying at home and watching “spooky” movies!
When I asked them what they love about each other, Lauren said she loves “how goofy and loving Blain is! He is always there for me :)”. And Blain said he loves “how hard of a worker Lauren is and how she always pushes me to be my best. She always makes me laugh.”
A perfect Saturday for these two would look like “Getting up around 9 a.m. and tidying up the room. We’d probably go to our favorite donut shop – Boxer Donut – in Nyack, NY. We’d get iced coffees and walk around town. We’ll probably do a Hudson Valley day trip to somewhere like Beacon, or another cute town and find a great local brewery! We would look for a great place to eat and be home before 11 (we’re early sleepers! Lol!).” Sounds pretty perfect if you ask me! 🙂
