Springtime Park Chateau Wedding | Sabrina & Edward

Their Wedding Day: Springtime Park Chateau Wedding

Sabrina & Edward’s Springtime Park Chateau wedding was a colorful, intentional, and joyful celebration of one of the sweetest couples you’ll ever meet! Every detail was carefully thought out with a focus on an amazing guest experience, and adding personal touches to their wedding day. I loved how they had an illustrator come to draw portraits of the guests during the reception, and how they included a bubble tea bar for guests to enjoy with dessert! The vibrant color palette exuded the cheerfulness of spring and beautifully complimented the blooming gardens at Park Chateau. Some of my other favorite moments in the day include Sabrina & Edward’s beautifully written vows, the rainbow (!!!) during golden hour portraits, and Sabrina’s dance moves to some of her K-pop favorites! I can’t wait to share so many photos from this day, but first a bit of their love story!

Their Love Story

I asked Sabrina & Edward to share with me one thing they love about each other. Sabrina said, “I love how dependable Ed is. Whenever we are in any stressful situation, I know that I can turn to him for help. He always stays so calm and will always be able to figure out a solution.” Edward said, “I love how cheerful Sabrina is and how she gets along really well with other people. It’s something I really admire about her.”

How They Met

These two met in the first week of school during Ed’s freshman year and Sabrina’s sophomore year of college. Sabrina said, “We lived in the same dorm so Ed joined our friend group. I had a crush on him for almost the entire first semester we knew each other. It wasn’t until the start of the spring semester that I decided I wanted to get closer to him and try pursuing something. Before then, we had only hung out in group settings. But in the spring semester I started dropping by his room all the time to say hi and chat until he eventually got the hint that I liked him.” Ed added, “If you get visited by someone everyday eventually you realize they probably like you. And then soon enough you might realize you like them, too.”

The Proposal

I love how Sabrina tells their proposal story. She gave me the inside scoop, “We decided to get married after discussing it together a lot, and I asked to pick out my own ring. Once the ring arrived, Edward kept it with him so that the proposal itself would be a surprise to me. It happened during a weekend trip we made to the Bay Area in California to visit some friends. I thought that we would be staying in a normal hotel, but as soon as we arrived I was blown away by how magical and romantic it was! It was a gorgeous rustic oceanside house with a balcony overlooking the water. He proposed on the balcony just after sunset with only the two of us there, and we got dinner at a nearby restaurant afterward. It was my perfect idea of a proposal :)” Edward added, “Actually, I booked that room because I just thought it’d be a nice place to stay. But once we were there it seemed like the right time and place.”
