The Ashford Estate Summer Wedding, NJ | Meg & Seth

Their Wedding Day:
The Ashford Estate

When we pulled up to The Ashford Estate for Meg & Seth’s wedding day, it was down-pouring!!! The craziest rain storm came out of nowhere, but left just as quickly, and we ended up with a beautiful (though super toasty) day! Meg & Seth and their bridal party were such troopers and you would never even know it was such a hot and steamy day!

With Meg being the incredible fashion blogger that she is, I just KNEW that every little detail would be put together flawlessly! From Meg’s stunning gown, to her carefully curated details, complete with ribbon, loose florals, and a marble tray for me to style with (she’s the best!), everything was so beautiful. Meg & Seth surprised each other picking out their wedding bands which was such a fun idea! The fact that they chose each other’s wedding bands made them extra special!

Some of my other favorite parts of their day were: Seth brought in barbers to shape up the guys were getting ready (so cool)! And I loved that they had a table full of fun colorful candy for their guests to take as favors at the end of the night. Football is a huge part of Meg & Seth’s lives, as Seth is an NFL coach for the LA Chargers, and when they first met, they connected over both living in the football apartment complex at their college! I loved the way they hinted at this part of their story on their wedding day! Their call sheet guestbook was so unique and fun! They also had framed photos from their engagement session where Meg wore Seth’s college football jersey!

All that to say, Meg & Seth’s wedding was a DREAM!!! : ) It was such a joy to celebrate alongside these two on such an important day of their lives! I can’t wait to show you all the gorgeousness of their day! But first…let me tell you a little more about their love story!

Their Love Story

Meg & Seth met during college at Clemson University. Meg transferred to Clemson her Sophomore year and ended up living in the same apartment complex that all the football payers lived in. As Meg tells it, “So one night I went to a fraternity party and happened to run into Seth at the bar there. I was instantly attracted to his blue eyes (so cliche I know haha!) and we started talking about where we lived on campus. Since he was a football player, we realized we both lived in the same apartment complex and then we realized we both grew up in NJ! The rest is history!” Don’t these two have the cutest story?! 🙂 Just wait til you hear how he popped the question!

Meg told me, “Our proposal story is basically the best…I’m not biased or anything 😉  It’s a really long story so I’ll try to shorten it the best I can! This past June, my family rented a cabin in the Poconos for a month.  I flew out to stay with them on Sunday, June 10th and Seth wasn’t able to fly out until late that Friday night the 15th (because of work). That Friday morning I was sitting in the living room of the cabin and my sister was like “hey Meghan come outside on the back porch for a second.” So I went out on the back porch with her and she asked me a silly question (that I now know was her attempt at distracting me). Seconds later, my entire family was out on the back porch with me wondering what was going on. Then we heard our dogs barking and I see Seth walking through the house and out onto the porch. He was in a suit and tie (a purple shirt and an orange tie…our college’s colors) and he immediately got down on one knee. I was so shocked because I thought he wasn’t getting in for almost another day. Turns out he took a red eye the night before, rented a car, drove 3 hours from the airport, changed into a suit and tie in the woods and then proposed to me.  It was so magical and amazing!!!” Seth…that is serious proposal GOALS right there. I love a thoughtful grand gesture, and the way he surprised Meg and pulled off such an amazing proposal is incredible!
