I’m sure I’ve said it before, but it is just SO special when a couple chooses to make their session super personal by choosing locations that are meaningful to them and outfits that represent important parts of their lives! Meg and Seth hit the nail on the head with their choices, and I absolutely loved getting to find out more about them as a couple and the special parts of their lives! We went to Wall High School Football Field which is where Meg went to High School and then headed over to Mantoloking beach, which is the beach they love to go to together! Football is such a huge part of their lives, as Seth is an NFL coach for the LA Chargers, and I just loved the way they incorporated that into their session! The football field tied in perfectly with Meg wearing Seth’s college football jersey, and Meg’s mom painted an NFL football with their date on it! How stinking cute!!
These two are super sweet and just so much fun! Meg told me she loves how funny and supportive Seth is, and it’s so adorable the way they love on and encourage each other. Meg is also an incredible fashion blogger, and it’s so amazing to see how they support one another in their passions! The way they laugh together is seriously contagious, I was smiling the entire session. Even while editing their photos, this is just one of those sessions where I was smiling until my cheeks hurt just looking at all their cute pictures. Meg and Seth are truly best friends and they make the perfect team. 🙂
And, of course, they were also total troopers up for any and everything during their session (my kinda people)!! Meg even went barefoot on the freezing beach, but I have to say it was so worth it for the amazing photos we got! When I asked Seth to do a sneak attack on Meg, they said that Seth actually does that all the time! Seriously, any other pose I threw out there, even after saying “this probably will sound crazy but…” they were all for it! It was such a fun session that felt like hanging out with old friends. Plus, I definitely can’t complain about the perfect pastel sunset we got on the beach!!
These two met in college. They both grew up in NJ (so everyone always thinks they met in high school!) Meg transferred to Clemson for her Sophomore year and ended up living in the same apartment complex that all the football payers lived in. So, one night, she went to a fraternity party and happened to run into Seth at the bar there. She was instantly attracted to his blue eyes and they started talking about where they lived on campus. Since he was a football player, they realized they both lived in the same apartment complex and then soon realized that they both grew up in NJ, also! Meg says that the rest is history from there! 🙂
Meg says, “Our proposal story is basically the best…I’m not biased or anything 😉 It’s a really long story so I’ll try to shorten it the best I can! This past June, my family rented a cabin in the Poconos for a month. I flew out to stay with them on Sunday, June 10th and Seth wasn’t able to fly out until late that Friday night the 15th (because of work). That Friday morning, I was sitting in the living room of the cabin and my sister was like hey Meghan, come outside on the back porch for a second. So, I went out on the back porch with her and she asked me a silly question (that I now know was her attempt at distracting me). Seconds later, my entire family was out on the back porch with me wondering what was going on. Then we heard our dogs barking and I see Seth walking through the house and out onto the porch. He was in a suit and tie (a purple shirt and an orange tie…our college’s colors) and he immediately got down on one knee. I was so shocked because I thought he wasn’t getting in for almost another day. Turns out he took a red eye the night before, rented a car, drove 3 hours from the airport, changed into a suit and tie in the woods and then proposed to me. It was so magical and amazing!!!” Freaking obsessed with this adorable proposal!!!! It’s so sweet that Seth planned such a special surprise while they were surrounded by family! <3
These two lovebirds enjoy cooking dinner together, baking cookies and watching a movie if they’re staying in or they love going out to one of their favorite restaurants and then stopping for ice cream on the way home! Once they’re home, they’re either watching a movie or having a game night together! 🙂
Meg and Seth, thank you so much for being up for all of my wild ideas – I seriously couldn’t be more in love with these photos and I hope you are, too!! Your sweet and kind hearts are so special, and it is obvious why you two are meant to be together. I am SO excited for your big day at The Ashford Estate this summer! Can’t wait to photograph you two again and party the night away with you! Xoxo love you two so much!!!
