Lori and Kevin tied the knot at Perona Farms in Andover, New Jersey last week. Their wedding day was filled with an outpouring of love and support from every guest who attended. From start to finish the day was perfect!
When I asked Lori about how they decided on Perona Farms for their wedding venue, she told me it was one of those “when you know, you know” moments. Perona Farms fit with their personalities really well, and was perfect for their style. Lori said the fresh air and the quiet pace of Andover, NJ was a real getaway from the everyday hustle and bustle they’re used to.
Lori and Kevin really wanted an outdoor venue with a more natural and rustic setting so that Megan, Lori’s childhood friend and owner of Rustic Drift rental company, could work her magic with the decor. And that she did! Among the decor that Rustic Drift provided were some beautiful signs, a lemonade stand, and a vintage ice cream cart! The ice cream cart was an extra special detail, as Lori and Kevin met while working at Lillie’s Ice Cream Parlor when they were teenagers. They quickly became friends and stayed that way until they began dating close to three years ago. The vintage ice cream cart was beautifully customized to read, “Lillie’s Ice Cream Parlor” to match their story.
In addition to the ice cream cart, there were so many meaningful details incorporated into their day. Lori had asked Megan to create a custom signature cocktail sign as a surprise for Kevin, and he was blown away when he saw it! Lori also wore some special jewelry down the aisle including a bracelet that was a Christmas gift from her mom, and her wedding band that belonged to her grandmother. Her grandfather had given her grandmother the ring several years into their marriage, since he couldn’t afford a nice ring when they first got married. A small photo of Lori’s dad adorned her bouquet as a beautiful tribute in his memory.
Lori and Kevin are undoubtedly a perfect match, and you can tell that their family and friends wholeheartedly agree. Â It was such a joy to spend the day with these two and celebrate their start to forever alongside them!
In Kevin’s words, when he saw his bride coming down the aisle, he felt like his heart was going to beat out of his chest. These two are so sweet!
The speech finale was Lori’s maid of honor playing a song she wrote on the ukulele!!! It was amazing, and she got a well deserved standing ovation! 🙂
