Alyssa & John | Liberty State Park Engagement Session

Alyssa and John first met four years ago through mutual friends on Labor Day weekend. Thankfully, they lived super close to each other because they hit it off immediately! These two foodies love trying new restaurants and running together – the perfect balance!

When I asked Alyssa about their proposal, she said “our proposal was everything I could have imaged and more.” John took Alyssa to an apple orchard to go apple picking. After an hour of exploring the orchard, John asked Alyssa to climb a tree to reach an apple. When she got back down to the ground, he was on his knee behind her waiting for her to turn around. Both of their sisters were there to photograph the moment, and family came in later to celebrate the exciting news. So sweet!

Alyssa and John’s engagement session was at Liberty State Park, where they used to run together often. The sentimental location made for a perfect backdrop to their session that included champagne to toast and celebrate their engagement! And I loved the fact that John wore his grandfather’s watch for our shoot. Little meaningful details like that are my favorite. 🙂 Liberty State Park overlooks New York City, so we found some amazing spots to capture the view. Their December wedding will be a perfectly classic, romantic winter wedding at the Park Chateau in East Brunswick, NJ! I am so excited to be a part of their special day.
