Jessie & Jason are two of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet, and I’m so honored I got to photograph their wedding day this Spring at the Lake House Inn, in Perkasie, Pennsylvania! It was the most perfect wedding day filled with so much warmth, joy, and laughter! I couldn’t dream of a more fitting celebration of this couple and their love! 🙂

When I asked these two what they love about each other, Jason said, “I love that Jessie’s heart is always so full of love. She is one of the most giving and caring people I know and is always striving to make the people around her the happiest they can be.” And Jessie told me that, “Jason is so incredibly easy-going and is always able to calm me down (as I’m not so easy-going). He rarely gets rattled, and since I’m always rattled (LOL) we’re a great balance for one another. He also is incredibly supportive and, shockingly, never complains. (And he does the laundry!!!)” These two compliment each other perfectly.

They of course, love each other, but they also share a passionate love for their adorable pup, Mosby (who made some cameo appearances during the wedding day, that I’ll tell you ALL about in a minute!)

Their Love Story

Jessie & Jason first met during their senior year of college when they were in the same class in the Journalism school at University of Maryland, College Park. They were quick to become friends, and after a year of close friendship, they decided they were truly meant to be, and officially became more than friends. Because University of Maryland was where Jessie & Jason first met, Jason knew that it was also the perfect place to propose.

Every year Jessie & Jason visit their alma mater and do a football tailgate with all of their friends. As Jessie tells it, “we chose the date of our tailgate, November 11th, and without my knowing, Jason went to work to plan the perfect proposal, including making sure both of our parents were there. Our dog got a little cold, which was the perfect reason to go for a walk, which I suggested, which Jason thought was the best time!! So he and our parents walked to a special spot on campus where he proposed! Both of our siblings were on FaceTime and we were able to return to the tailgate to celebrate with all of our friends!” It doesn’t get any more special than that!

Their Wedding Day:
The Lake House Inn, PA

We had the most BEAUTIFUL weather for Jessie & Jason’s wedding day. It was extra warm for an early Spring day, with just the right amount of sunshine! Their vibrant color scheme for their day was a perfect embodiment of this sweet, joyful couple. If you know me, then you know how much I love dogs, and these two share a love for their furbaby Mosby, that I can totally relate to. Although Mosby was not able to attend the wedding day, his presence was surely known! From the cute postage stamps featuring Mosby on the invitation suite, and the socks Jason wore with Mosby’s face on them, to the perfectly executed “Mosby voice” impression by the MOH during toasts, and of course the to-go dessert bags at the end of the night that featured a perfect family photo of the three of them. 🙂 It always makes me so happy to see the furbabies included in the wedding day, in any way possible!

Way back when I first connected with them, I asked Jessie & Jason about their vision for their wedding day! Jessie told me they chose the Lake House Inn because she’s a really big beach person, and wanted to have some kind of body of water at their wedding, AND the venue fit their beautiful/rustic vibe they were going for! They described wanting their wedding to be a HUGE party – and it was exactly that. These two love dancing and having fun (as do their families and friends)! Speaking of…my girl, Tori Kelner, is actually Jessie’s cousin, (which is how I got connected with Jessie & Jason to begin with!), and Tori and her dad had some KILLER dance moves during the reception! There’s some pretty epic photo evidence toward the end of the post – it’s worth the scroll! 😉
