Their Wedding Day: A Barn at Perona Farms Wedding

Erin & Anthony’s Barn at Perona Farms wedding day was simply perfect! There was so much excitement and emotion through every part of the day. All the happy tears, sentimental details, and sweet nostalgic moments. These two high school sweethearts have been on a long journey to bring them to their wedding day, and it was so special to witness the start of this next chapter.

At their reception they had a sign with a quote from Harry Potter that is so fitting of the times and their beautiful celebration. It read:

“Seems silly, doesn’t it? A wedding. Given everything that’s going on.” – Ginny Weasley
“Maybe that’s the best reason to have it. Because of everything that’s going on.” – Harry Potter

Weddings are always so special, but this quote just hits home that we appreciate these meaningful moments, milestones, and celebrations that much more these days.

I had a million favorite photos from Erin and Anthony’s special day, and I’m so excited to share a glimpse of them here in this blog post! But before you scroll on down to the pictures, I wanted to share a little piece of Erin and Anthony’s love story!

Their Love Story

Erin and Anthony’s story starts all the way back in 2011 when Anthony asked Erin to junior prom. They had hung around the same friend group but we never really spoke up until that point. Erin told me, “Prom was a blast and ended with sweet kiss and a feeling that I knew our story wasn’t going to end there. I still have all of the little notes he used to leave in my locker! We dated through the rest of high school and did long distance through college. I went to college for nursing and being nearly 5 hours from home and under the stress of school it was not easy.”

One of the sweetest stories, Erin shared gave me chills. She said, “I can remember a time Ant had called me to talk about our days and he decided after hearing how sad I sounded on the phone that he was going to drive up to see me the next day. He drove 4 and a half hours each way just to take me to breakfast and make sure I was okay. I could cry just thinking about it! It meant so much to me. At that point I just knew he was it forever. We have been each others biggest cheerleaders through school, our jobs and life in general. This past year we bought a house together in our hometown and we’ve been loving every second of making it a home! I love our little life we’ve built together.”

How He Asked

I’m a sucker for a good proposal story, and Erin & Anthony’s story does not disappoint! Erin tells it best, “Anthony proposed on December 5th while we were away in Marco Island, Florida. Our second to last night there he surprised me with a sunset cruise- I was expecting a booze cruise with a big crowd of people but when we pulled into the dock there was a boat for two. As soon as I saw the boat I was like OMG is it happening?! But somehow I convinced myself I was overthinking it.”

“We sailed around Naples for a while and saw a school dolphins which was just magical! (I asked Anthony afterwards if he had paid extra for them because truly it was a nice touch haha!) Our captain dropped us off at an island and told us to walk to the other side of the brush to a private beach. The view of the ocean was surreal bathed with golden rays from the sun being about to set. We walked along the beach looking for shells and then I had Anthony go back to the boat to get our captain to take a nice picture of us.”

“Little did I know IT was about to happen. I can remember handing my phone over to our captain and Anthony starting with “Well, we’ve been together a while now..” and I basically blacked out with excitement after that! I remember it didn’t hit me for a while. Then I couldn’t stop crying for the rest of the night! We had champagne on the boat afterwards and watched the sunset from the Gulf. It truly was the most magical romantic night.”

Seriously…could you hand pick a more picture perfect romantic proposal?! I’d say Anthony knocked it out of the park!
