Their Session:
Bear Mountain, NY

Colleen & Ryan’s Bear Mountain engagement session was ALLLL kinds of magical. Any day of the week, put me on a mountain top at sunset with an amazing couple AND not one, but TWO golden retriever pups…somebody pinch me! In my book, it doesn’t get any more dreamy than that! These two (and their pups, Vail & Stowe) are the absolute sweetest! It always makes me so happy when my couples include their furbabies in their engagement sessions! Dogs are family, and I love when they get to be involved in documenting this special season! Colleen & Ryan are so filled with joy, completely in love, and totally up for anything – they’re my kind of couple! : )

Their Love Story

Let me tell you a little more about these cuties. I asked Colleen how they first met and she told me, “Ryan used to kick my chair in 7th grade to try and flirt with me haha. Ryan and I were best friends before we started dating in Sophomore year of high school.”

When I asked these high school sweethearts what they love about each other, Ryan said he loves, “Colleen’s big heart”. Colleen said that she loves, “Ryan’s passion for everything he does.” These two are passionate about life, and each other, (and of course their furbabies) and it shows through all love and laughter they share when they’re together.

What does their perfect Saturday look like? They said, “Waking up naturally and not to an alarm, cuddling together, walking Vail  & Stowe outside in LBI, going to get coffee and bagels, then taking Vail & Stowe for another walk or hike, working out together, going somewhere for happy hour and dinner together then coming home watching Netflix and cuddling together with our doggies.” Sounds like a perfect weekend to me!

Colleen & Ryan – you two are such a joy!! Your love and laughter is absolutely contagious and I had the best time photographing you guys (and of course, Vail & Stowe) at Bear Mountain! Thank you so much for sharing this special season of your lives with me, and having me photograph your sweet little family! I can’t wait to celebrate your marriage with you, and photograph you guys all day long in September at Tarrytown House Estate! Enjoy these last few months of being fiances before the big day!
