There’s something about West Coast beaches that feels extra magical. I don’t know if it’s that Southern California light, or the rocky landscapes paired with the sandy beaches, BUT whatever it is, this location made my photographer heart so happy! I was so pumped to photograph Chelsey & Xavier at the gorgeous Corona Del Mar beach in Newport Beach, California! Chelsey & Xavier met up with me for an early sunrise session on the beach! The early morning light gave us the perfect golden glow, and the beach was so quiet and calm! Chelsey and Xavier not only crushed it in the outfits department, but throughout their whole session they were up for any and every crazy idea I had! They even were all for climbing up onto the rocks (which ended up being some of my FAVORITE photos from their session)! I can’t wait to share all the goodness from their shoot, but first, let me tell you a little more about their story!
Their Love Story
Chelsey & Xavier first met on Instagram!! They went on their first date to Oceanside pier and to get sushi! They’ve been together for just over a year now, and Xavier recently popped the question! I’ve seen the video of their proposal, and let me tell you, it’s a good one. : ) Chelsey told me “For the proposal, he took me to La Jolla and proposed on one of the cliffs! With his two best friends holding “marry me?” Signs! It was a beautiful day out.” I love the element of surprise, combined with a stunning view…it really doesn’t get any better than that!
For their typical date nights these to love going out for dinner and a drink or two! They’re also homebodies, so the love to stay home, grab a bottle of wine, and cozy up to watch Netflix. Sounds pretty perfect to me! ; )
