I absolutely adore when couples reach out to me to photograph all the milestones that come after their engagement and wedding day! Friends, celebrating all of life’s moments is so important, which is why I’m so honored Jess and Justin decided to have me document the beautiful anniversary session they planned at Cross Estate Gardens! Anniversary sessions make me so HAPPY!!! What a special part of their love story that now gets to be framed beautiful all around their home and shared with friends and family! Ahhh, melts my heart! Most importantly, Jess and Justin included their little furbaby, Noodle, which was absolutely the BEST! 🙂 She is so cute and was such a great model. If you didn’t know already, now you know.. there’s nothing better than having a furbaby join your photo session!
Jess & Justin are the absolute sweetest, and I loved every minute of their session. They were truly up for everything, including running through tall grassy fields and slow dancing in a garden, with Justin in a suit and Jess in her beautiful wedding gown, which made this anniversary session extra special. They did a first look, too, and holy moly, it was too sweet! Justin had such an adorable reaction to his wifey all dolled up! Jess looked absolutely stunning, and I was so excited to capture her hair and makeup done by my sweet and talented friends, Samantha of Makeup by Samantha Linn and Julie of Styles on Location!
Jess and Justin met when she was 17! She was smitten with him the second she met him, but they remained friends for a few more years. Jess says, “We stayed close for about 6 years when Justin was involved in a motorcycle accident that almost took his life. After that moment, I knew I couldn’t deny my feeling any longer having almost lost him and I confessed my feelings for him shortly after his recovery, and the rest is history! We got engaged after almost a year of dating and we started to plan our wedding!” While planning the wedding and looking for their first home, they decided the house was super important and needed to focus their energy there, so they tied the knot with an intimate court house wedding with their parents and siblings surrounding them! Jess told me that they never got professional pictures from their big day, and she didn’t get to wear the dress that she originally purchased for her wedding,. The fact that she wore her original wedding dress and got to do a big reveal with Justin, was amazing. And their 1 year anniversary photos are just that much more special knowing that these are the first professional photos they got to document their marriage!
