Their Wedding Day: Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club
Colleen & Joe tied the knot at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club, and their wedding day was so special! One of my absolute favorite parts was Colleen’s scheme to surprise Joe by including their dog Bella in their first look! Joe had no idea Bella would be there, and his reaction was PRICELESS! Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club is such a gorgeous venue with endless grounds for portraits! I loved every little detail that Collen and Joe put together to make their day unique!
Colleen & Joe are so fun to photograph (for some extra proof check out their engagement session here!). And their wedding day was no exception! I can’t wait to share all my fave photos, but first I gotta share a little bit of their love story!
Their Love Story
Colleen and Joe first met on none other than the NJ Transit train! As Colleen tells it, “I was coming home from the city and Joey from Hoboken. It was a pretty packed train by the time he got on and I made space for someone to sit there, which Joey did. He struck up a very quick conversation and asked for my phone number after determining that I was geographically desirable (we both lived in Morristown). It was maybe 5-7 minutes before I got off at an earlier stop to see a friend.”
“PS. fun fact – my grandfather actually met my grandmother’s sister on the train… but when he showed up to “call on her” he met my grandmother and the rest is history… (i guess this was more acceptable back in the day!)”
How sweet is that! Such a good story! And even sweeter, Colleen ended her vows during their ceremony by saying that she’d always save Joey a seat. That line was the perfect ending, and such a cute nod to their story!
