Morris Plains Engagement Session | Colleen & Joe

Their Session: Morris Plains

Colleen & Joe’s engagement session in Morris Plains was a blast! We had some crazy weather in the forecast, so our location plans ended up shifting, but I think it all worked out PERFECTLY! We took photos around the beautiful grounds of their apartment complex, including some fun shots at the dog park, where their pup Bella LOVES to hang! And then we went to the Morris Plains train station for some extra meaningful photos – keep reading to see how they met, and you’ll know what I mean! Colleen & Joe are som uch fun and their laughter and humor was absolutely contagious. They had me cracking up through their whole session! And not to mention sweet Bella is a perfect furbaby model! ; )

I am obsessed with these two, and their furbaby! I can’t wait to share some of my favorites from their engagement session!

Their Love Story

When I asked Colleen & Joe to each share one thing they love about the other, Colleen said, “I love the way he loves Bella (their golden doodle pup). Joey often sleeps on the couch because we like to cuddle in bed and there isn’t enough room.” And Joe said he loves that Colleen is “caring and loving!!!”

They love having date nights on Fridays and have a little date night tradition! Every Friday night they love to get take out from Salad house, have a drink, and cuddle up on the couch with their pup, Bella, and a good show or movie!

Let’s take it back to where their love story first started, on the train!

How They Met

Okay if you like romance movies, Collen & Joe’s story of how they met sounds like a the plot of a really good one! Colleen told me, “We met on NJ Transit – I was coming home from the city and Joey from Hoboken. It was a pretty packed train by the time he got on and I made space for someone to sit there, which Joey did. He struck up a very quick conversation and asked for my phone number after determining that I was geographically desirable (we both lived in Morristown). It was maybe 5-7 minutes before I got off at an earlier stop to see a friend. Fun fact – my grandfather actually met my grandmother’s sister on the train… but when he showed up to “call on her” he met my grandmother and the rest is history… (I guess this was more acceptable back in the day!)” Seriously how cute is that!? I love the tie in to Colleen’s grandparents’ story too!
