Holmdel Park Engagement Session | Emily & Bobby

Their Session: Holmdel Park Engagement Session

Emily & Bobby’s Holmdel Park engagement session was a BLAST! These two are so much fun, AND they brought along their adorable furbaby Brody! I loved that Emily had a colorful, summery bouquet made for the session, and that we even got to take a few night portraits with Bobby’s truck! I had the best time with this sweet couple, and I am SO excited to share all the photos! I’ve got way too many favorites, but first, you’ve gotta read a bit of their love story – it’s a good one!

Their Love Story

When I asked these two to share with me one thing they love about each other, they gave the sweetest answers. Bobby said, “One of many things that I love about Emily is her selflessness. She truly has the biggest heart. I also love her continuous search to go and try new places, restaurants, coffee shops, vacations or even find a new farmers market to explore… I’m a homebody at heart but I love that she brings that into our lives.” Emily: I love how Bobby is supportive, caring, as well as his drive and passion!! He’s my BF4L 🙂

Emily and Bobby first met thanks to Bumble back in February 2019! Emily told me, “We were not the greatest at using dating apps because we’d try them for a few days and not be consistent or give it a proper chance. We had crazy schedules at the time; I was working at the hospital in NYC and Bobby was just coming back home from working on a bridge project out in WA.”

“One night I decided to try the dating app again and that’s when I saw Bobby’s profile. I thought he was too good to be true but I also didn’t want to swipe left (not interested) so I would just leave the app all together lol I eventually swiped right and we instantly matched! Little did we know that moment had changed the course of our lives and were forever grateful for it. Looking back at our beginning, it’s crazy that we met that way, via Bumble, but everything afterwards happened so organically and we quickly knew we found “the one.”

The Proposal

You’ve got to hear how Bobby proposed! Emily gave me the inside scoop. “I had a feeling Bobby was going to propose soon but I didn’t know for sure. He caught onto that quickly and did a great job of throwing me off and completely surprising me. I’m so happy he did that because I’ve never had someone surprise me before! I never thought Bobby would propose on a Saturday during college football season, Roll Tide, but he truly caught me off guard on 11/12/22!”

“It was sunny and 70 degrees out, which called for a perfect morning walk on the beach with our dog, Brody. We went to our favorite spot on the beach, Egbert St in Bay Head. This was nothing out of the norm for us. The swell was huge that day, a bunch of surfers were out, and the tide brought in perfect seashells and sea glass, which I was collecting along the way during our walk-it was a perfect day.”

“Bobby was oddly quiet for the latter half of our walk but it soon made sense as he got down on one knee, while at the same time giving our dog a treat to preoccupy himself, and asked me to marry him! As if that wasn’t already perfect enough, he had his sister taking pictures nearby of our special moment and when we got back to our house, he had both of our families waiting to congratulate and celebrate with us!”

Emily & Bobby

Emily & Bobby, thank you so much for an incredibly fun evening at Holmdel Park!! You two are such a joy and I’m so excited to photograph your wedding this December at Crystal Point Yacht Club! Until then soak in every minute of being fiancés! Sending the biggest hug!! xoxo
