Their Wedding Day:
Perona Farms
What a joyful and fun-filled wedding day this was! Jessie & Jason tied the knot at the gorgeous Perona Farms in Andover, NJ and it was a perfect day! I love when couples get playful with their wedding colors, and these two did just that! They had super bright and vibrant pinks & fuschias in their florals, which looked AMAZING with the teal accents of bridesmaids dresses & linen napkins at the reception, etc. I am OBSESSED!
It also makes my heart so happy when my couples bring a lot of personal details into their day. The ways that Jessie and Jason did this were so special! From the pretty mosaic tray made of china from a family member that Jessie had with her bridal details, to the kiddish cup from Jason’s bar mitzvah that they used in the ceremony, and so much more! I especially love that they brought elements of their story into their day.. I’ll tell you a little more about my favorite part when you read about their love story!
Their Love Story
Jessie & Jason first met through a mutual friend at a birthday party. It took a little while for them to go on their first formal date – and there was a super cute nod to this part of their story at the wedding! Jason thought Jessie wasn’t interested when he mentioned a dinner date over Facebook messenger, but Jessie totally was! So she was surprised when Jason didn’t follow through at first. They printed out their messenger conversation, and had their guests settle it once and for all, by placing marbles in jars to vote for either interpreting Jessie’s reply as “flirting” or “not interested”. Such a fun throw back and sweet way of bringing parts of their story into their wedding day! When they did eventually go on their first date, Jason took Jessie to an awesome wine bar/tapas place where they bonded over the fact that they both studied abroad in Granada, Spain, (which was funny since not that many people study abroad there). Jessie told me they texted in Spanish on the her train ride home, and have loved spending time together ever since.
Want to hear how Jason popped the question? As Jessie tells it, “Jason proposed in our apartment on a random rainy Saturday afternoon (I had no idea it was coming). He set up the apartment with a trail of Rose petals, love notes, and a slideshow of pictures of us on our TV. He was waiting behind the bedroom door to propose, it was awesome!” How sweet is that?!?
When I asked these two what they love about each other, Jessie said, “Jason thinks it’s cute when I get mad about really really stupid things (most of the time) and he is very good at calming me down.” And Jason said he loves “Jessie’s sense of humor.”
To the Newlyweds
Jessie & Jason, you two radiate so much joy and love that it’s so much fun for anyone to be around you two. Your wedding day was such a perfect celebration of your love and this exciting next chapter! I’m so honored I got to be a part of it! I love you guys and am so grateful for you!!! I hope you’re enjoying these first few weeks as Mr. & Mrs.!! Congrats, newlyweds!!! xoxo
