Meagan and Joe’s stunning winter wedding at The Ryland Inn was nothing short of a dream. It was so amazing to work with the wildly talented Twisted Willow Flowers again! Their gorgeous floral covered ceremony was a perfect additional backdrop for portraits, so you know I was just the happiest photographer! Although it was rainy, these two were so joy-filled that the weather didn’t matter one bit. Thankfully, The Ryland Inn has the most beautiful covered area we got to use for portraits! The huge windows and big lanterns give the Ryland Inn such a warm southern charm kind of vibe that I absolutely LOVE! Meagan & Joe’s first look was adorable beyond words, and I was fully tearing up. It was super special and it gave us plenty of time to make great portraits happen despite the weather challenges!
I’m a details girl, and I’m crazy passionate about showing off all of those details that my couples have worked so hard to put together. Meagan and Joe’s details did not disappoint. I was so excited about the perfect red Mrs. Box, the insane florals, and all the cozy, winter touches like blankets at the reception for guests to use, and Meagan’s fur shawl that was perfect for outside night portraits! Overall, this day was top freaking notch, and I’m so honored to be sharing these images on my blog today!
Joe and Meagan met at their corporate holiday party! They worked at the same company but on different teams! They hit it off quickly and moved in together soon after! Meagan and Joe immediately adopted two kitties, and settled into their sweet new home together. These animal lovers have always wanted to add a doggo to the family at some point, as well! Meagan quit her job to return to school full time and recently graduated in May! They were super excited to move back in together after she finished school!
Here’s how Joe popped the question! Meagan told me: “At the end of August, Joe and I took a short vacation to Italy. We were planning to relax and spend most of our time in Cinque Terre. I had a feeling something might happen since we went ring shopping in January, but I wasn’t quite sure. After a lovely day on the beach, we took a stroll, wine in hand, to a beautiful overlook where you could see all of the 5 villages of Cinque Terre. I went over to the balcony to take some photos, and when I turned back around, he was on his knee. We had an amazing dinner overlooking the water to celebrate afterward, and I was absolutely on cloud nine the whole evening. It was absolutely perfect! We had the rest of the vacation to enjoy our engagement before heading back home, and we definitely took advantage of every second.”
Meagan and Joe, you two are the sweetest ever, and your wedding day was truly winter perfection. I absolutely loved being a part of your special day and celebrating alongside you as you said, “I do!” Congratulations, and cheers to many more incredible years together! Love you two Xoxo
