I think Park Chateau is THE place to be during the winter – all of the beautiful lights and warmth inside bring the best holiday cheer to each wedding! I just love getting to shoot here! Especially when I’m also getting to work with my favorite makeup team, Michelle Elise Artistry! 🙂 This wintry wedding was full of so many gorgeous details like Allison’s cozy bride prep photos that we photographed by the Christmas tree at home, her gorgeous perfume bottle, her engagement ring that belonged to Brian’s grandma, and the festive, traditional Christmas carolers during cocktail hour! Allison was, sadly, under the weather, but you would seriously never have known it. This girl was such a trooper and didn’t let anything get in the way of her enjoying every minute of her and Brian’s big day. Their day was full of so much love and perfection, I am so excited to share their story and this special wedding on my blog today!
Here’s how these two love birds met: Allison’s best friend and Brian’s best friend are married, but it took some time for Allison & Brian to meet! They were both going to help their friends move into their new home. From the moment Allison met Brian, she knew that there was something there. This little go-getter found Brian on Facebook and sent him a friend request. They met up again a few months later at their friends’ BBQ where Allison learned that Brian was really impressed at how quickly she had added him on Facebook. When he saw the request, the song Keep Me in Mind by Zac Brown Band (their favorite band) was playing on the radio and Brian knew that was a sign! They talked every single day from that point on and finally started dating.
A year later, on the same day as the BBQ the year before, they were on their way to a concert to celebrate Allison’s birthday. Brian planned a special birthday surprise for Allison. He told her he needed to stop off at his family’s business to lock up, and Allison said he was persistent on showing her the roof, which she was completely fine with because she is always up for an adventure! After climbing to the roof to see the gorgeous views overlooking Philly, she heard Brian say ‘hey,’ and as she turned around, he was down on one knee! Once they got to the hotel, he had a dozen roses, champagne and chocolate strawberries waiting for them to celebrate! If you want to see more of these cuties, check out their adorable LBI engagement session here!
Allison and Brian, you two are such a genuinely kind and joyful duo, and I’m so lucky to have clients like you two who I get to call my friends. I hope your day was full of as much happiness and excitement you could have wished for! Enjoy the married life! Xoxo
