Kara and Kevin’s wedding day at The Rockleigh was an absolute dream! These high school sweethearts said their “I do’s” just five days after their 11-year anniversary, which made their day just that much more special to finally be tying the knot! I absolutely loved all of the rose gold accents used throughout the day from the calligraphy on their place cards, to the photo frames with their engagement session pictures, to their invitations! The flowers, the decor, and all of the details were so beautifully put together and showed so much attention to the little things, which always makes my heart happy!
In the morning, while this amazing bridal party was getting ready, Kara and Kevin separately read emotional cards from one another. It was so special to see 11 years worth of love written out on one of the biggest days of their lives! Kevin teared up reading Kara’s card. And Kara laughed and cried as she opened his gift – a purse she had been wanting for so long!
Kara looked absolutely stunning in her dress, and her bridesmaids’ dresses complimented her look so beautifully! This outdoor ceremony, surrounded by so much love from their friends and family, was emotional, funny, and so heartfelt! The live musicians played amazing music to accompany them as they walked down the aisle to say “yes” to forever with each other!
Oh, and of course, my sweet tooth was kicking in as we passed by the favors table, which was a perfect set up of different candies from Lolli and Pops – one of my favorite candy stores with the cutest candies! Such a perfect way to end the night full of dancing and fun out on the dance floor!
Kara and Kevin met when she was on the cheerleading team and he was a football player back in high school! Each cheerleader was assigned two players on team to follow and cheer for personally. Kara got to cheer for Kevin, even though she had no idea who he was! He ended up being a close friend of Kara’s older cousin who was also on the team, and they met at her aunt’s house a few times. They started texting constantly from that point on and they’ve been together ever since! Their proposal story is so perfect and feels like it’s straight out of a movie! Kevin’s family took a two week European vacation last summer, and Kara got to enjoy it with them! She’s had an infatuation with Paris and the Eiffel Tower ever since she was a little girl reading Madeline books! She took French in junior high and high school, and her entire bedroom when she first met Kevin was Paris themed! On the trip, they went to see the tower with his family, but the two of them went off on their own. Kara said, “He acted as though he was trying to take a photo of us in front of the tower, so he set up his go pro and when we were about to pose, he proposed!” Such a special moment in a city so full of love!
Kara and Kevin, thank you both for being so much fun and amazing to work with! It is such a pleasure getting to see how your love has grown into what you both have now! Congratulations newlyweds, and enjoy this new adventure in your lives! Xoxo
