Their Session: Belmar Beach Engagement Session

Jenn & Corey’s Belmar Beach engagement session was truly a BLAST! Whenever a couple requests to splash around in the ocean, I know it’s gonna be a good one. I loved that these two were up for anything. From rolling in the sand, to dirty dancing lifts, and splashing around the ocean. It was pure magic. Nothing makes my photographer heart happier! I couldn’t be more obsessed with these two, and SO excited to share my (many) favorites from their engagement session! But first…their love story!

Their Love Story

Jenn & Corey first met way back in sixth grade! Jenn told me, “We were in the same block of classes for two years and we were best friends. We have an engagement photo that is us and our 6th grade photo from a field trip! From then we were good friends until college and got together in 2017 finally, asking me to be his girlfriend on NYE.”

When I asked her to share one thing she loves about Corey, she said, “One of Coreys best qualities is that he is the complete opposite of me. He is so cool, calm and collected in any situation. For example – our house was flooding one time and I was in complete panic mode and he told me I needed to go upstairs and take five so he could handle it haha we always joke about so many different times were I am just Type A and he just Type B.”

The Proposal

Okay you’ve got to hear how Corey proposed! I love a good surprise proposal and Corey pull off a good one! Jenn told me, “Corey got me SO good. I had no idea. I am going back to school to get my doctorate right now and I was away at school all week.  My three best friends had planned a birthday brunch the following Saturday at B2 bistro in North Brunswick.  I didn’t think anything of it…all my friends wanted me to dress up cute and I just was not having it and wore converse and jeans. When I arrived at the table, which was outside, he surprised me and took me to the gazebo and asked me to marry him. After he took me inside and surprised me with my closest family and friends and we had a party.” How perfect is that?! Such a sweet surprise!

Jenn & Corey, you two are such a ray of sunshine together, and it was an absolute joy to photograph you two! Thank you for being so fun and open and free! I loved spending the evening frolicking in the ocean and rolling in the sand with you. I can’t WAIT for your wedding day at The Mill Lakeside Manor next summer!!
