Their Session: At Home Farm Engagement Session

Maggie & Ty’s at home farm engagement session was incredible!!! We shot at Maggie’s childhood home which was absolutely breathtaking! Her parents have the most beautiful home and property! The cute front porch, lush fields with Lupine flowers, stunning mountain views, and modern barn hangout area were some of my faves! Of course we had to make some time to pop into the kitchen for pizza and beer too! 🙂 I had the best time with these two and couldn’t be more obsessed with how the photos came out! I can’t wait to share some favorites! But first…their love story!

Their Love Story

Maggie and Ty first met on a Thursday night out at a bar in Hoboken. As Maggie tells it, “he was there watching football and I was there with my intramural kickball team after our first game. They set up a bunch of tables for drinking games/socializing and Ty approached me to ask about what my hat meant (it was my High School’s logo..smooth), and the rest was history.”

The Proposal

Just wait til you hear how Ty popped the question! Maggie said, “It happened at home completely unexpectedly — he told me he had a surprise for our friends who were visiting from out of town and he wanted to make it a surprise for me too “just for fun.” Little did I know what he had up his sleeve. After I was finished getting ready, he sat me down on the couch (where he had the ring hidden in the cushions) and popped the Q!”

“From there, I thought we were going to dinner, but he had all of our friends and family (including his fam who flew in from Kansas) waiting at a restaurant next door. I was on the street waiting for the “Uber” to dinner and they were all waving at me through the windows of the restaurant.” How sweet is that! That story gives me chills, it’s so sweet!

I asked Maggie what her favorite thing about being engaged is and she told me, “I absolutely love being engaged! I think the resounding feelings are excitement and security. Even though we always knew what our future looked like, it just feels so good to be officially planning our lives together with zero questions. Ty caught me completely off guard with the proposal, so I still feel so giddy even 5 months later.”

Maggie & Ty

Maggie & Ty, you two are such an absolute JOY! I had so much fun photographing you two at your engagement session!
