Backyard Minimony | Cristina & Martin

Their Minimony

Cristina & Martin were planning to have their wedding this summer, but due to the pandemic facing our world right now, they decided to postpone the larger celebration until next year. However, nothing (not even a global pandemic) can bring these two down and stop them from the most important part of their wedding – to get married, and become husband and wife! They planned an intimate backyard ceremony, officiated by Martin’s brother, and exchanged their vows surrounded by their immediate family. It was perfect. 🙂

I can’t wait to share their photos, but first, let me tell you a little about their love story!

Their Love Story

Cristina told me about how the first met, “Martin and I actually met at his brother’s 30th birthday party. This may get confusing – but his brother’s wife (Aime – who I knew previously) always wanted us to get together.. she thought we would be perfect together. I hate being set up so I always denied. At this point, I didn’t know what Martin looked like. Aime months later invited me to her husband’s 30th birthday which I attended and that same night met a cute boy who I later learned was Martin (not realizing it was THE martin she wanted me to date). Ever since that night, Martin and I have been together. Funny how things work out – I guess she was right all long!” They then spent the majority of the summer meeting up at some famous jersey shore bars (like Bar A, Djais, etc.). By the time summer was over, their relationship was getting serious and they would spend their Sunday nights together BBQing in the backyard, red wine in hand! 🙂 They still keep up the tradition and have BBQs on Sunday nights!

I asked Cristina and Martin to share with me one thing they love about each other. Cristina said, “Martin lives life to the fullest and I love that he pushes me out of my comfort zone to experience those moments as well! He is also very patient when I can be a handful!” Martin’s answer was, “Cristina is very passionate in everything she does (whether professionally or personally) and always goes above and beyond for others.”

I know your celebration next year is going to be so much fun, and so worth the wait! Sending you guys all my love! xoxo
