Their Wedding Day: Basking Ridge Country Club
Abby & Luis’s wedding day at Basking Ridge Country Club was incredible! It’s not easy planning a wedding amidst a pandemic, but these two handled every curve ball with grace and navigated every bit of uncertainty leaning on what’s most important about their wedding day: their love and commitment to each other! Their wedding day was such a beautiful celebration filled with so many heartfelt and emotional moments. I can’t wait to share some of my (many) favorites from their day! But first, let’s talk about their love story!
Their Love Story
These two have the sweetest love story! When I asked them to share one thing they love about each other, Luis said, “I love Abby’s smile and her heart ❤️”. Abby said, ” I love how genuine Luis is, and how I know he would do anything in the world for me.”
How They Met
As Abby tells it, “We met at a bar in Morristown.. at the time I lived in Hawthorne which is about 45 minutes away from Morristown. My friend and I had plans to go to Hoboken for the night and last minute she decided we should go to Morristown. I fought with her for about 10 minutes on how I wanted to do Hoboken and not Morristown (I had never been to Morrristown) finally I gave in went. [Luis and I] met for about 5 minutes there before my friend called our Uber. He told me he was from Puerto Rico and I couldn’t hear him because of the music so I said “oh, I don’t know where that is.” LOL he was like “uhhhh you don’t know where Puerto Rico is?” But he tracked down my number and began to ask me out – and the rest is history!”
The Proposal
The story of how Luis popped the question is so sweet! Abby told me, “Last May my whole family came to Puerto Rico for vacation. The last night his mom and dad cooked dinner and we ate on the rooftop of their villa. At the toast before dinner he got up in front of everyone and asked! Champagne came to follow. It was perfect having everyone I love right there.”
To the Newlyweds
Abby & Luis, congratulations on your marriage!!! I couldn’t be happier for you two, and the start of this next chapter in your lives together! It was an honor to capture all the memories of your day!
