Marissa and Alex’s Crossed Keys Estate wedding day was something out of a DREAM! It always is extra special to me when I get to photograph the same family multiple times. I got to photograph Marissa’s sister, Sarah on her wedding day. So I was over the moon when Marissa reached out about her wedding! 🙂 Marissa and Alex are such sweet couple. They’re filled with joy and laughter, and everyone who was there to celebrate them amplified all the emotion and excitement!
It was so much fun working alongside one of my industry besties, the talented Michelle Elise Artistry, all day long. Marissa and Alex picked an all-star vendor team that made the day that much more fun and seamless!
If I could live this day on repeat I would be SO there! But the next best thing is getting to relive it through the photos. I have so many favorites to share! But first, a little bit of Marissa & Alex’s love story!
Marissa & Alex’s love story began at Alex’s brother’s wedding!! Marissa was attending the wedding because her family was friends with the bride’s family! (And you’ll see some hints of this in the blog – wait til you see the bridal party intros! ;))
You’ve got to hear how Alex proposed. Marissa gave me the inside scoop. She said, “The day Alex proposed we had his nephew’s 2nd birthday party and what I thought was heading to Hoboken to see my new nephew, Brody. We were told to pick up food for my sister and her husband at La Isla (a restaurant in uptown Hoboken).”
“Alex pulled down the wrong street (11th st instead of 12th) and insisted we walked over to pick up the food. I on the other hand, was refusing to get out of the car and walk over. After some convincing, he got me out of the car and guided me towards the waterfront. It was the most perfect moment just the two of us! Hoboken holds a special place in both of our hearts (it’s where our first date was and where our relationship blossomed). We had dinner the two of us and got to celebrate later that night with our families! It was magical!”
When I asked these two to share with me one thing they love about each other, Marissa said, “I love how giving and caring Alex is. He is my absolute best friend and partner through everything.” Alex said, “I love how loving, thoughtful, and genuine Marissa is! She’ll always tell you the truth good and bad. We basically have the same brain, we each pick up where the other leaves off.”
Marissa & Alex, thank you so much for having us as a part of your wedding day! It was absolutely PERFECT! I had so much fun celebrating you two and capturing all the memories! We are so grateful for you guys and your friendship! Cheers to the start of forever!!! Sending you two the biggest hug and all my love! xoxo
